Purchased this to secure my laptop during Karaoke/DJ nights and whilst it seems a little bit fiddly to get into the lock it worked perfectly.It is universal as it adjusts to fit the laptop, it's lightweight whilst being sturdy and there is enough length on the cable to make securing it easy.

Very handy item- easy to fit and does the job

First time I ordered it, I refunded it because the keys didn’t fit the lock.This is the second time I ordered this, because I assumed the first time when the key was wrong it was a mistake. The second time I ordered it the key also didn’t work!!Now when I look at all the reviews I can see that this is a consistent issue. They really need to sort out this problem.

Does not unlock, key will not turn in the lock. Absolutely useless!

Not happy with item

When the clip is locked, it still has a space to be moved that is sufficient to put the laptop (Macbook 13") aside and remove it from the station. Absolutely useless.

Excelente producto, sólido y util

Unfortunately the product didn't fit my laptop. As the legs were in the way. I needed it for an event so couldn't contemplate returning, so I had to break it and turn it into a grab-proof deterant for the event. For the price I paid, I was a bit disappointed.

This is the second time I made the purchase because the keys did not unlock the lock on the locking station. Well guess what? The keys still do not unlock the new (3) that I purchased. As I am reading other reviews, I'm not the only customer having these issues. The bad thing about it, they continue to sell these items. Above Tek SHAME ON YOURSELVES.

There are some areas that could have been made more durable, but overall, it is well made, with plenty of padding to prevent scratches. I noticed that the arms that came with it were touching my laptop screen, so I replaced them with the larger set that was provided. Now, I can set up my screen at the angle I prefer. It is more compact and lighter than I expected, but it serves its purpose as a deterrent against thieves. Another thing I discovered is that the metal frames can be tightened, and the security cable can be inserted even after the base is locked, which is a bonus (FYI, you cannot extend the frames and the cable cannot be pulled off once locked). Lastly, I was initially worried that my laptop might slip through the base, as the hinge opens to 180 degrees if the base is not screwed onto a hard surface. However, that turned out not to be an issue.
