Works well
It was not as high quality as I would have liked, wire harness had smaller gauge wires that the original, but I guess that can be expected for an after market part. It installed easily and worked as it should. Good product for the price.

Absolute Trash, do not buy.
My compressor pressure plate cracked and was re spinning on my ac compressor, they're not cheap for my truck so I figured it's worth a shot to try a replacement. I bought 2 of these, it's not my first time setting up compressor clutches. First off it involves quite a bit of labor to get one of these set up depending on your application. My first one I had to use additional spacers to get it spaced appropriately. About 3 hours later I had my AC working, less than 30 minutes later it blew the fuse for the compressor clutch. I'm like, okay maybe there was an issue with the coil and it's just a one-off. So I order a second, it shows up, I disassemble the compressor again. The first coil had a melted bubble in the insulation , it was clearly shorted internally and that was the cause of the failure. So I assemble with the second clutch, of course the spacers that came with it were insufficient. Luckily I had the extras from the one that had already failed. Go through the set-up again. Install it again... And it's literally the same it ran for 15 minutes and blows the fuse. I'm so disappointed I wasted my time twice on this garbage product.

Colorado blows cold once again
This AC clutch worked exceptionally well! I’ve had it installed in my truck for a month now, and it’s still performing flawlessly. The swap kit was perfectly sized and included everything I needed. However, finding a standalone AC clutch can be challenging because GM insists on replacing the entire compressor. Installing this clutch into my Colorado was a significant hassle. While I understand that GM’s design prioritizes the entire compressor assembly, it’s frustrating for customers who want to replace only the clutch. Despite the initial difficulties, the clutch is now back in place, and it operates incredibly quietly. The installation also looks great under the hood. Here are a few tips for anyone considering replacing this part on their Colorado: 1. Ensure you have a good set of snap ring pliers with a 90-degree and straight nose. 2. If you’re not planning to remove the compressor like I did, be prepared for a lot of patience and nimble fingers. 3. It’s important to note that there’s no way to check the gap with a feeler gauge. Make sure your gap is set correctly.

Tips for 05 CRV (likely 02-06 Crvs as well)
- this is what I did with this kit and the repair was a success. I spent a lot of time researching options including even purchasing a new compressor. But after I learned this repair can be performed with the vehicle on the ground and without removing the compressor I was intrigued. (And very much looking to save some $) The kit I received came with two snap rings and two washers/spacers and a nut. On my CRV the clutch came off no problem. (You can use a deep socket on the frame to counter hold the clutch while you loosen the 12 mm nut.👍🏽) Remove the clutch plate and the little washer / spacer behind it (save this washer for Reuse). Then remove the first snap ring (use snap ring pliers to avoid damaging it as I reused both circlips as the AM ones seam too thick) (a cheap but decent snap ring plier set sold on Amazon ((LFSEMINI snap ring pliers set 4 pcs 7” internal/ external Circlip Pliers Kit)) (I used the bent pliers I think for first one and straight for the second one) I also peeled back the right front inner fender liner and turned the wheels all the way to the right. I removed the lower splash shirelds across front lower bumper and below engine. I removed plastic trim behind the grill as well as the grill. (Multiple of the plastic rivits will break upon touching them - a decent kit for replacements (good to have if your going to be working on cars in general ) is (SunplusTrade 240 pcs bumper car clips plastic rivits fasteners push retainer kit) Remove the condenser fan / coolant bottle. Remove top mount brackets for radiator and now the radiator a fold forward slightly. This will give you room to undo the wiring connectors on top of the compressor for the clutch coil. Once first snap ring was removed, I was an able to tap off the old pulley only to find it banging into the body and won’t clear the shaft to be removed. Don’t be discouraged You can remove the four mounting bolts and then slide the compressor assembly around to away from the body to provide clearance to swap the pulley parts. Then removed the second snap ring for the coil. Then removed coil. The AM coil from this kit tested at 3.1 ohms (the factory one tested 3 ohms). ((The old one tested open. 🙃) The AM coil installed and fit well. I had to reuse the old snap rings as I said the new ones proved to be too thick to fit to get into the groove. I couldn’t get the new pulley on and didnt want to damage something by forcing it only to realize just tapping the old pulley back on basically seamed just as time consuming and tedious. (Note if I was doing this again knowing the old pulley is super tight too I would just go ahead and use the new pulley / bearing ) you can use a small block of Wood to tap the pulley back on whichever one you decide to use. I then re installed the (ONLY) the one original washer and new clutch plate. Re installed everything and pressed the button. AC is back! Good luck ! Note. At first I thought this clutch was a bit louder than stock but after driving around I think it’s fine and similar or the same noise level. Lastly, if this thing fails in a manner that I think is prematurely I will for sure update this to advise maybe about using another kit. But so far if you have some time, this is a good cheap option for new parts. Good luck!

Make sure to set the clearance!
Burned up the first one because I didnt set the clearance between the clutch and the clutch plate. For my vehicle its .015" this kit didnt come with enough shims to get the gap i needed so I used some washers but I finally got the gap and now its running fine.

Easy fix and a perfect fit.
I had to put the numbers from the packaging into search and get the diagram because we couldn't figure out where the extra washers went but for our 2015 Chevy Colorado, it was a perfect fit! The quote we got to fix it was $2,500. A much better out come. I have uploaded the diagram for you

Bought in July, failed in August
It did work initially, and I was pleased. Purchased Jul 19, 2026, blew the AC Clutch fuse August 22nd, 2026. I only had the time to diagnose what was going on today (August 27, 2026) and it blew the original 10 amp fuse. Just as a test I tried a 15 amp fuse, because that was all I had here, and it blew that immediately as well. Apparently these also have a very short - if anything - return window as I don't see returns being an option for this waste of money.

Test function before installing compressor into the car.
2014 Malibu. Clutch installed but didn’t work. The electro magnet and pulley were fine, but I had to reuse the old face plate in order for this to work. Very frustrating when you’ve already finished installing and then find out you have to remove and replace some parts.
