The Samsung S7 Monitor is an absolute masterpiece! The moment you set it up, it feels like you’re using an iMac — sleek, premium, and incredibly elegant. I have been using this product for about 2 weeks now. It looks great. The picture quality, sharpness is good. Here are a few rough edges that could be addressed. 1. If you switch the source through a KVM you get a built-in message from the monitor that lingers for too long. There needs to be a way to silence these messages. 2. The power/ control button's placement isn't ergonomic. it's hard to reach those controls when needed. 3. The product for some reason was shipped with 15-Amp power chord that will not work with ordinary 5A-220V sockets. I had to buy a 5A chord separately after discovering this issue. There is no reason why the LCD monitor needs 15A!!! I don't know who made that decision.

It's good as of now

I’ve been using the Samsung Infinity S7 for a while now, and honestly, it’s one of the best monitors I’ve owned. Right out of the box, the 4K UHD resolution is stunning—super sharp, vibrant colors, and just an overall great viewing experience. Whether I’m working, watching movies, or even doing a bit of casual gaming, everything looks crisp and smooth. One of my favourite things about this monitor is the slim bezels—it makes the screen feel so much bigger and more immersive. The colours are spot-on, especially with HDR support. I am using it with my mac and quite impressed with how it is able to match macbooks colours.

Stand : stand is very basic such a higher end monitor with this stand is not acceptable. If you have VESA mounted then it’s fine. Source: 4K monitor with only two sources are very bad and that too DP and HDMI is a worst combination for a monitor with PIP/PBP feature. Button placement: the power and menu button is behind the monitor which hard to reach all time. Bezel: bezels are not sturdy . Either it must be with heavy bezel or bezel less. One side bezel and that too fragile is not acceptable. Power cord : considering the power rating , 20A power cord top is not acceptible. Eye safe: actually there is no eye safe features in this monitor they have the basic grey scaling feature which is available in all Samsung monitors. With 350 nits brightness if you don’t have eye safe feature this monitor will not help in long office hours or coding. Purpose : can’t used for multiple sources. Can’t be used by developers and designers. Can’t be connected with regular 10/15 Amps socket . Can’t be used with dp converter. Even ChatGPT can’t answer why they made this monitor. After a week usage and testing finally found the DP port was not working and it’s defective. That’s an additional gift I got.

The packaging included a 16A power cord. Beyond my understanding why a 16A cordwould be packed for a 27inch desktop monitor. Even 52 inch TVs do not have a 16A power cord. Needless one never finds a 16A power socket in a typical office/home-office environment. I had to purchase a 6A cord separately.
