There are many devotionals (daily readings) out there that follow this format, a one page commentary on a verse of the New Testament. They are pitched at different levels as they should be. This classic is pitched at the deep end. It's tough and focuses on the less popular themes. Carrying the cross, discipline, endurance, patience. It's stuff we need to hear but don't really want to. It's like a dose of medicine. Take it first thing! It will do your spiritual life a lot of good.

This book has been read by many Christians, and to many, it has been a deep blessing. This book, for many, would be an easier version to understand. I loved the original version but often found it hard because Oswald Chambers was very well educated, and I was told his wife (who also must have been well educated) wrote much of the book from his teaching. Open your heart to God, and the Lord will bless you too.

There is not one person on reading this book can say, 'I cannot be helped.' Oswald Chambers shows us clearly how he has survived awkward situations and experienced God's grace and mercy when he has perhaps got himself into and not able to find his way forward. Also what a blessing this book is when we discover that we are not alone when we have let ourselves down and felt ashamed. The author clearly has a close relationship with God and this is shown through his reading of God's Word. I love the helpful topics and readings should we need further guidance and help. Brilliant!

Beautiful,clear and to the point daily devotional that sparks of so much truth in this current day(2019) even though the 'book' was written in 1917 during WW1 in Egypt.The 'book' is Chambers but was not written as a 'book' by Chambers.Chambers wrote only one book per say,this 'book' was compiled by his widow after his death during the war.The UK soldiers loved his daily talks,notes to them that Chambers widow compiled a 'book' of some of his teachings/devotionals/daily's and made a Great book out of them!

I read this book over and over again, and have done since 2018. I read it after reading the bible first thing in the morning during breakfast. It sets me up for the day, every day. I have studied and read many self help books, but this book far outweighs any other book (apart from the bible). If you want to know God, meet Him in this book, I guarantee, you won't be disappointed.

Exquisite writing. Requires deep thought and is an incredibly thought provoking in-depth spiritual awakening of what an almighty God can do. Read it. Ponder and dwell on these readings. 100% fully worth every penny.

I have been reading My Utmost... since the mid-eighties and still find each day's entry thought-provoking and challenging. The teachings are often quite stern and the language can sometimes be a little difficult (although there is a more up to date version available), but the Holy Spirit spoke through Oswald Chambers in such a powerful way, that we would do well to take notice and apply the teachings to our lives. I have other books of his but this is one book that I would never be without. God's truths are the same today as they were when this book was written.

This limited edition is a real treasure! I’m so glad I found it! The colour of the pages, the font style and the illustration are all beautiful, drawing you in to dwell with God, which is the precise purpose of Oswald Chambers writings.
