Was super bummed this model isnt officially available in the US, luckily this variant (which I think is the Tawain variant) works automatically with T-Mobile. I placed the SIM card in and able to get onto T-Mobile network without any issues. Although, 5G is not available only LTE to get 5G some intervention may be needed, but let's face it LTE is super fast as well. I did confirm the IMEI to ensure the authenticity of the phone. Picture quality top notch, battery from 6am to 11pm with 6ish hours of phone use in between battery was still at 68%! One issue on prior Xperia was the heat, I have not noticed this on this phone after heavy use. Build quality is solid, doesn't have that cheap Samsung feel, feels more quality like an iPhone build. Super happy with the phone, wife has the newest iPhone and now wants this Xperia 1 Vii after comparing photos between the two.

Got this to replace my Sony Xperia 1 III. The Sony's just have the best DAC and sound. Not to mention the aux output jack so I can connect it to my tube headphone amp. AMAZING! This still has the SD Card slot so you can increase memory to 1 gig for almost no money (I use 256meg mainly for FLAC music). The battery lasts almost a week! My older Sony only lasted about 1 1/2 days. The buttons and touch screen are MUCH more sensitive than on my older phone and I'll have to get used to that because I keep making errors by accident. Also the new cases for the phone, B0D5CTJL3M, have everyone talking that sees them. This has been a very nice upgrade to my old Sony. I've seen some people report that this phone doesn't work on AT&T, but it works great on T-Mobile.

I am new to android, and will try to limit my comments to the device itself. This is probably the nicest hardware of any phone I have ever owned. It oozes quality with the textured back glass and metal sides, removable storage, and headphone jack. BUT, in the US market on T-Mobile, it seems to have issues accessing the 5g network. There is some workarounds available, but I find it annoying that every time there is a system update I need to find the workaround to re-enable the proper antenna. Also, I do not know if it is only my device, but it struggles with my personal wi-fi sometimes. Outside of that, most of my complaints would be directed at Android as an operating system. I am not a photographer or videographer, so I cannot make much comment on the camera system. I am not much of a phone gamer, but it does have a game optimization mode and allows you the ability to set certain parameters on a game-by-game basis. The battery life is unreal, yesterday I was at 51% after not charging the phone for 3 days. Actually, amazing to me. I would recommend this phone and wish Sony had brought it to the US market properly.

I’m currently an iPhone 15 pro user, but mainly bought the Xperia 1 VI for a personal media player ie SD Card and 3.5mm jack (last of a dying breed) I’m getting into the hobby of being an audiophile. After playing with this phone..I’m blown away! The addition of the Bravia Ai just made the visuals and screen outstanding. Has more color depth than the iPhone 15 pro. I snapped a few pictures and it was on par with the iPhone! For the main part the 3.5mm jack lacks the umph. It was expected, but pairing these with the Fiio BTR7 DAC..man the details in sound was amazing! The LDAC codec is far better than the AAC of the iPhone! Apple Music and Tidal sounds so good using the Xperia. Instantly you notice the clarity and depth in the songs. The SIM card reader is very fast and responsive. The 120hz refresh rate makes zooming through your audio library a breeze. I Watched Netflix on the Xperia and I was very pleased with the audio and video experience! I have it connected to the WiFi and T-Mobile sim and works great! Highly recommend! Unfortunately I will not fully transition to the dark side (as of yet) I still like the apple ecosystem but the full customization option and quality of the Xperia got me thinking. Sony needs to rethink its marketing strategy and bring this phone to the US. Amazing phone that is being slept on! Love it!

This phone DOES NOT work on AT&T......I was told it did, but when I put my sim card in....I received notification right away stating this phone DOES NOT work on our network. Called both AT&T and your customer service and received 2 different results. But the phone company has to take precedence......as it is their network. Otherwise, nice phone.

This is an update to my previous review. Been using this phone on T-Mobile on Maui, Hawaii and it gets excellent 5G reception (better than my wife's S24). Battery life is exceptional with about 1.5 days of charge, and I can get 2 days with light use (I set battery saver mode to 90% and re-charge when it gets to about 20%). It will charge from 20-90% in about 90 minutes with a generic fast wireless charger. I've installed a 1TB SD card that accommodates my entire digital photo album as well as a huge music library (and of course any data files I care to keep with me). I have also set my camera app to save all photos & videos to the SD card. The speakers are exceptional (for a phone) and almost as good as some Bluetooth speakers I've had. Camera is very good, and the selfie camera seems particularly good. Pic colors are somewhat more muted (natural?) than my wife's S24 (which pic colors seem somewhat "enhanced"). There is an option in the camera software to digitally enhance the photos after taking which does seem to brighten up the colors. Additionally, I like the lack of bloatware that's built into many android phones. I'm very happy with the Xperia 1 VI and would purchase again if I broke or lost it.

El teléfono es muy ligero, no es grande en comparación con otros de la misma gama, la interface es muy rápido, la calidad de imagen y video muy buena. La batería me rinde bastante a pesar de jugar por mucho tiempo. Lo único es que para configurar página principal y uso de wallpaper en movimiento aún no le encuentro.

Surprisingly smooth experience. Delivery came faster than anticipated. The box itself was a bit dusty and with a light scratch (seems as if the box was left in a warehouse for sometime and something heavy was put on it), but the device is brand new. As expected, the package contents are spartan - the usual documents (e.g., quick launch manual) and the device. No charger, no cables, and I'm happy for it. Keeps the package small, and I can't even count the number of chargers laying around. Xperia's Khaki Green as a color is delightful. Feels a bit darker than on the pictures. Overall happy. Would I buy from this shop again? Yes (through amazon, where you have a bit of protection as the end-user).

I purchased the Sony Xperia 1 VI in November 2024, expecting a reliable flagship device from Sony. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. After just a few months of use, the phone started restarting randomly several times a day without any warning. Sometimes, it even switches off completely and refuses to turn on for about an hour, even when I try the force restart (power + volume buttons). Another major issue is that the phone becomes very hot, even when I’m not using it heavily — sometimes just sitting idle on a table. I performed a factory reset, but the problems persist, which makes me believe this is a hardware defect. For a premium phone in this price range, this level of unreliability is unacceptable.

Ya 3 meses con el producto, excelente como cualquier electrónico de gama alta de sony. Como tal lo unico malo que veo es que a veces, digamos una o dos veces al dia, el sensor lateral no reconoce bien las huellas, indagando en internet esta problematica es general con el modelo, espero con una futura actualizacion lo arreglen, pero contando las libertades que da tener jack de audio, micro sd expandible y que sea un android puro, y la mejor duracion de cualquier telefono con este procesador, la verdad se lo recomendaria a cualquier fan de sony o de los android, tremendo.
