Works for Generator model 040210-00 w/ Vanguard engine
Had a leak at the oil switch/sensor. This 841281 is the exact part needed for B&S generator model 040210-00 with Vanguard engine model 543275-0111-E1. I 'm giving details because I had to search A LOT of places to try to find the correct part. The manual didn't show it. I finally saw an exploded view of the engine with a teeny representation of the oil switch [I call it sensor]. Easy fix. We used a tool identical to one on this site: DURATECH 11-Inch Basin Wrench, Sink Wrench, Adjustable 3/8'' to 1-1/4'' Capacity Jaw, for Tight Space and it worked like a charm allowing us to squeeze in to the needed space while avoiding the "tab" end of the oil switch. Probably saved over $200 in labor and trip charges from a professional. Try it!
