This is smallish but quite thick guide containing 50 walks from the easy to quite challenging. Each walk is clearly set out with start point, OS route map insert in 1.25k detail and where to get some refreshments on the walk. There are plenty of photographs too.The only quibble I have about Cicerone guides is there size. They've gone for a modest width and height which is great but it means the guide is quite thick and a tad on the heavy side so you wouldn't want to be carrying it for long in your hand whilst you're looking for way point directions. I also have misgivings that the spine will stand the test of time. As I use a GPS device, I download walks and leave the guide at home which is a bit self defeating. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very easy for a novice to use. *by W***1 on 2 June 2016* I bought this based on positive reviews from other users. I rarely ever write a review of a product I have purchased. My wife and I used this for several walks of different lengths and difficulties. The directions were unbelievably clear and the grading made complete sense. I hope to be back in North Yorkshire in the future and when I am no doubt this book will get more use. There are still about 45 walks to do. Based on the usefulness of this book I will purchase more by Paddy Dillon and look to do many of his walks closer to our home. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing *by K***A on 17 October 2011* It's a miracle - I managed to negotiate my way round a good few of these walks, and I never got lost. I am infamous amongst my friends for a chronic lack of any sense of direction - get the usual: 'You'd get lost at the end of the road ha ha' jokes, but this fantastic little book seems to have solved the problem.The walks themselves are lovely, very clearly graded, and very easy to follow. The scenery helped a lot - fantastic views, and the format of the book made it ideal to shove into pockets and easy to retrieve again.
