The Bear Electric Kettle 1.7L 12 Temperature Control Kettle has been a great addition to our kitchen. It heats water very quickly and the temperature control (40°C–100°C) is really useful for tea and coffee. The digital display is clear and easy to read, and the keep warm function saves having to reboil the kettle if you want another drink shortly after. It also feels well made with the stainless steel interior and a good solid design. Overall, a fast, reliable and stylish kettle with features you don’t normally get on a standard kettle. Very happy with it. I have brought all variety of kettles, from cheapest of cheap to crazily expensive, but i have to say this has definitely been one of my best purchases for quality and value for money ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Received this morning. Attractive design, and I much prefer the stainless steel interior over plastic. Boils much quieter than my previous kettle on all temperatures. I used quick boil to clean, then 55 degrees to check working. All good. I had no issues with the keep warm function. You just long press the boil button to switch off if you don't wish to keep warm. At the moment happy to give 5 stars. Would review again if any issues with longevity.

I left 1 star off because theres no water level window, you have to keep taking the kettle off its stand to open and check the water level. The kettle is great otherwise, easy to use, good that you have the button to keep warm, but water does boil so hot that it stays warm in the kettle for a bit, i tend to take it off the boil way before it bleeps to end boil. Its a nice size kettle for me as a single person, at 1.7 litres its a nice size and not to heavy to hold when pouring. Its not a noisy kettle, easy lid opening.

I didn't realise how much difference the right temperature makes until i got this kettle! As a new convert to loose leaf tea, being able to choose the exact temperature is a game changer. It's really simple to use, and the digital display is a nice touch. The keep warm function is a lifesaver too - i popped out to shops and came back to water that was spot on for an instant brew. Honestly, its a small upgrade that makes a big difference and at a price that does not hurt the bank balance (and makes me feel slightly moor sophisticated than i probably am!).

I have bought “cheap” kettles previously so I wasn’t holding out much hope for this being much better. I have to confess the only cheap thing about this kettle is the price!! The quality of materials used is 10/10. It is sturdy, it’s easy to set up and easy to use. There is no plastic inside the kettle which is also a bonus. It is genuinely a star bar. The keep warm function is easy to use just hold in the button until the desired temperature is selected. It does make a clicking sound when it needs to reheat the water back up. Which takes some getting used to as previous kettles I’ve owned it has always reboiled the water. I also like the fact the outside of the kettle doesn’t get hot when the water has boiled. It’s warm to the touch but it doesn’t get too hot. There are a couple of negative things about this kettle, which I do think need to be pointed out. The first one being there is no outside fill level so if you need to see how much water is left after boiling the kettle it could be quite dangerous. The second negative is there is no scale catcher in the spout like some kettle have. This is definitely a product I would recommend.value for money, easy to use and looks good!

Avoid, it has design issues. 1) If you select a temp other than 100°/boil, it takes ages to get to the temp you want. This is because only goes into keep warm for other temps. So when it is getting near the selected temp, it turns itself off. The temp continues to rise but it's never enough, so it has to turn itself back on again until it reaches the temp you asked for. It would be so much better if it just heated until it gets to the temp you want and then if you wanted to keep it warm, then select that with a button press. It's just so annoying. 2) When you set any temp other than 100°, it is working in keep warm mode. This means it will keep the water at that temp after you have removed it and poured. You have to turn it off afterwards which is not intuitive. Plus it randomly doesn't like it if you try to turn it off just after it's reached the temp and in turning to turn it off, it goes into some random modes, with all sorts of odd codes appearing on the screen. We ended up just turning it off at the plug. The only positive I have is that it looks good. Until someone can show that they have sorted out the functionality, just buy the Russell Hobbs Digital quiet boil kettle, which just works perfectly.

The Bear Electric Kettle 1.7L has an all-metal interior—no plastic parts touching the water—and feels solid yet light in hand. It’s ergonomic, easy to pour, and looks great on the counter. But my biggest issue is that when it reaches boiling, it keeps boiling for too long. The temperature reading lags behind reality, so the kettle doesn’t stop promptly, wasting energy and making it noisier than necessary. On top of that, the display turns off when removed from the base and forgets any settings you had. Great construction, but the prolonged boiling makes it less efficient than it should be.

Although not extremely quite, this kettle is one of the best kettles that I have ever bought the quality is very good and the capacity is quite big. It also has a power saving mood and easy to use or just basically warm water if you don't want to boil
