Does this hat have a band of fluffy fleece or is it fully lined?

It has quite a wide band of fleece but it isn't fully lined. It's very cosy though.

Is the bobble detachable

Dear Sir/Madam, I have two of these lovely hats, but the bobble is not detatchable.

Would an adult size hat of these be ok for a 5 year old? His head is a bit bigger than average and is the size of a 7-8 year old

No...definitely not. It's borderline too big for adults heads! Adults hat size = Circumference in inches divided by pi (3.142). Adults 'hat sizes' usually range 7 to 7½....I'm 7⅜ and it swamps my head. It would be perfect if I was living and working -30⁰C....Norway, Greenland, Alaska. If worn working or hiking at 0⁰C, you'd sweat....fatal!

what is the difference between a corkscrew bobble and just a bubble hat
