Poor writing
I am into the second volume now. Can’t deny there is a sincere attempt to marry mythology/history with fertile imagination but it fails to hold my interest because of the quality of the writing. Very amateurish, unprofessional use of the language. The second volume seems to slightly better written than the first - so there is still hope. I am reading the English version of these books - it is possible the originals were in Hindi and they did a poor (and quick, due to time to market pressures) translation job. That has to be the reason, because I have watched many author interviews in the social media and Akshat always comes across as very articulate both in English and Hindi.

Badly written book
I purchased this trilogy on the recommendation of a friend. But after a couple of chapters, decided to dump all the three books in the trash. Never read a book more badly written and more difficult to follow.

The Hidden Hindu by Akshat Gupta is a gripping blend of mythology, history, and modern storytelling that keeps readers intrigued from the very first page. The novel revolves around a mysterious man named Om Shastri, whose existence seems to span across different eras of Indian history, raising questions about immortality and hidden knowledge. One of the most fascinating aspects of the book is how it connects ancient Indian mythology with a contemporary narrative. References to figures like Ashwatthama and Parashurama add depth and curiosity, making readers wonder about the truth behind these legends. The idea that some beings might still exist in modern times gives the story a thrilling and thought-provoking edge. The book is structured around interrogations and flashbacks, slowly revealing Om Shastri’s past. This storytelling style creates suspense and keeps the reader constantly guessing. Each chapter uncovers new layers, making it difficult to put the book down. What makes The Hidden Hindu a great read is its engaging narrative and unique concept. It introduces readers to rich cultural and mythological elements while maintaining a fast-paced, almost cinematic feel. Even readers who are not deeply familiar with Indian mythology can enjoy the story because of its simple and accessible language. Another strong point is how the book encourages readers to think about time, identity, and the possibility of eternal life. It blends fiction with philosophical ideas in a way that feels both entertaining and meaningful. Overall, The Hidden Hindu is an exciting and imaginative novel. It is perfect for readers who enjoy mythology, mystery, and stories that explore the unknown.

The core concept blending mythology and modern action is really compelling and kept me reading. There are some genuinely exciting parts and interesting ideas explored. However, the writing felt a bit simplistic at times, and the pacing across the trilogy was inconsistent, with some books stronger than others. A worthwhile read for the story, but could have been polished more.

Not a book reader at all but once I started I couldn’t stop myself from finishing it! Loved how beautifully Author has explained things with facts! Thank you. Waiting for next set…

Although the story is great in English version I don’t know why they used mythology word for our scriptures, it’s our history not mythology.

The Hidden Hindu Trilogy by Akshat Gupta is a fascinating series that masterfully intertwines ancient Hindu mythology with contemporary science fiction. The story follows Prithvi, a young man with mysterious memories, as he pursues Om Shastri, an enigmatic Aghori who claims to have witnessed all four Yugas. The narrative is rich with historical and mythological references, making it a compelling read for fans of both genres. Gupta's writing is engaging, and the plot is filled with twists and turns that keep readers hooked. However, some parts of the story can feel a bit dense due to the heavy incorporation of mythological elements. Despite this, the trilogy offers a unique and thought-provoking journey through time and belief, earning a solid 4 out of 5 stars.
