What ac line splitter can i buy from amazon that will accommodate this? i want to use the clamp feature.

I took a cheap, 2 conductor insulated extension cord and split the middle seam (do not expose any of the wires). Since you must only measure 1 conductor at a time using the clamp, I plug the device I want to test into the extension cord receptacle and the plug of the extension cord into the outlet. The split cord allows me to loop the clamp thru one of the conductors to take measurements. Works great for measuring high current appliances such as portable heater to see how much current is being drawn.

I just tested a dead alkaline battery with no load and it read 8.4 MV same as my Fluke Multimeter.

Does this support measuring Amps? I need to measure something that should be between 5 and 25 amps

It is a clamp-on ammeter, so it measures AC amps.  It can measure up to 20 amps on the low setting and at least 200 amps on the high setting.  If you need to measure DC Amps, that is a different question.  I don't think it measures DC Amps, but I have not verified.  You measure amps by clamping the jaws around a single conductor.  This is the standard method for a clamp on ammeter.  If you need explanation of this then search google or YouTube how to use a clamp-on ammeter.  If you are seeking an ammeter that you wire in to the circuit, this is not that kind of ammeter.  I hope that answers your Q.
