ERRECOM Brilliant - 7.5 ml, Fluorescent UV Dye for Detecting Refrigerant Gas Leaks in Vehicle A/C Systems, Includes R134a Adapter

Had. No pressure in my mini countryman air conditioning system, so I really wanted to check before filling with gas. I used ultra violet torch with glasses to check it out and fortunately no leaks but could clearly see the product on the valve. I will continue using this and yet again saved alot of money by doing this myself. I highly recommend this product and feel the price paid reflects value and works well. Very satisfied with it. Ensure you purchase the one with the adapter as it fits perfectly and easier to use.

I had my a/c system charged a year or two ago and the mechanic told me the system was completely empty but held vacuum, not so long ago my system was completely empty as i was getting no cold air at all only ambient. I've used ERRECOM extreme sealer and this along with a bottle of gas to recharge the system and a couple of weeks later it's still working just fine, I haven't been able to see any leaks with a UV torch and i'm hoping the sealer has solved the issue but only time will tell, I will update the review if i ever find the leak source as this dye is very obvious under a decent UV light as the provided uv light is pretty bad.

For those that want to know; assemble the syringe and adapter and with your hand covering the top of the syringe quickly push snap the adapter onto the low pressure valve with the other hand. Note it doesn't fit the high pressure valve, and you NEED to wear safety glasses due to pressurised gas being not good for them. As soon as it's connected push the plunger down until empty. Pull up on the adapter lower part to release and remove it. Clean up any residue around the valve with a paper towel and replace the valve cover. This kit appears to work even if you have already filled the gas prior as I found out just so long as you haven't maxed out the space; use your filling canister valve gauge prior to check pressure is in the green region. Once complete, turn your car on and go for a drive. Take the car somewhere with some shade and with UV safety glasses (they're yellow tinted) and a UV flash light use it to follow all the pipes from the valve around the engine bay until you get back to where you started. Any predator 'blood' found will show your leak. Hope this helps someone.

Exactly what was needed to find my leak in my cars AC, it was a bit fiddly to work it out first of all and the instructions are just pictures but simple enough. It also comes with a little uv light which I didn't realise, saved my buying one.

Does the job

The adapter just would not engage properly. I know the low pressure port is good as I refill through it, but thye adapter is cheap plastic and simply wouldn't attach. I lost 2 syringes of dye and made mess as it fooled me (twice) into thinking it was properly attached.

Used it to find the leakage in my Honda Civic AC system but couldn't find any signs. Not blaming it on the product but it just didn't work for me...

Das mittel erfüllt sicher seinen Zweck. Es ist sehr Leuchtstark und wischt sich auf Oberflächen auch nicht einfach weg. Lässt sich super einfüllen (Zumindest bei mir an meinem Nissan Juke F15 Bj. 2013) Kanns Empfehlen. Auch, wenn andere Berichten das der Halter nicht an der Kupplung bleibt. Dieses Problem hatte ich nicht. Meine Anlage war allerdings auch Druckfrei. Werde ich wieder kaufen. Kleiner Pro Tipp: - Behaltet nach der Verwendung den Adapter. Die Spritzen gibt es auch für etwas günstiger auch Ohne Adapter im Set zu kaufen.
