Let me set the stage on why a robot vacuum is an essential tool for me by introducing the members of my household, aka the source of the mess. **Subject 1 - My 3-year-old daughter:** Cute, adorable, sweet, a drama llama; she’s everything I could wish for. Despite my wife and I washing her hands 500 times a day, she manages to maintain a pair of sticky, oily hands with a hint of grape juice and cheddar cheese Goldfish. **Subject 2 - White senior rescued Standard Poodle:** The perfect partner in crime to my 3-year-old. While my daughter stamps her little oily hands on my wood floor, my poodle spreads that oil like you spread Miracle Whip on bread. **Subject 3 - Red senior rescued Doberman:** A literal walking pine tree. Oh, don’t be deceived by his thin layer of hair without an undercoat. He drops so many red "pine needles" that if he gets lost in my neighborhood, I could probably retrieve him by following his trail of hairs. The fact that he sheds so much yet hasn’t gone bald is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. I bought a T20 Omni(the previous generation to the T30S I am reviewing today) last year, used it; was somewhat satisfied with it, and now bought this new T30s so I can move my T20 to my second floor and have my T30s takes care of the 1st floor instead. The purchase has transformed my house chores in a way that I no longer need to vacuum and mop my floor; I can now finally provide undivided attention between listening to my wife and washing dishes. Here are a few points to note. Otherwise, I have no complaint with the T30s Mapping: I can't stress how important mapping is to any new robot vacuum, a good map dictates: a. the machine's obstacle avoidance ability, b. the robot's path algorithm, and c. room division and cleaning The T30S consistently mapped my 1st floor about 2 to 3 times faster than my T20 Omni. Not only that, but I was able to create a fully functional map on the 2nd try. On my T20 Omni, I could get a not-so-perfect map maybe after 8 tries, if I was blessed by the Lord of Light. Mapping Confusion: Both the T30s and the T20 Omni have issues scanning my rear sliding door. The laser penetrates the glass and mistakes my outdoor patio floor for another room; because of this, it creates an open-ended space; this confuses the heck out of the app and makes in-app room division extremely annoying. Here's my fix, I took my daughter's roll of art paper, with the help of blue tape, (which can be purchased from, yours truly "Amazon") created a faux barrier at the laser's height. Cabinet Toe Kick Issue: The T30s is about a quarter of an inch shorter than my T20 Omni. On spec, it doesn’t mean much, but in real life, this makes a world of difference. My T20 Omni’s laser just so happens to be high enough that the laser catches my kitchen’s lowest drawer and thinks it’s a wall; this causes the T20 to altogether skip the edge by the toe kick, which is usually the dirtiest place. The T30s scans the toe kick properly and cleans the floor right up to the toe kick. Edge Cleaning: I am pretty sure my T20 Omni was secretly an animal rights activist, especially toward the ant in my house; it never cleans the edge, and I mean any edge. There was always a 3-inch moat against my wall and furniture, to provide a bike lane for my resident house ants. The T30s, on the other hand, sends its little protruding arm and mops all the way to the edge. Map Lost Issue: In the first 2 months of my T20 Omni’s ownership, the app would lose either the robot’s last location or the entire map for the most ridiculous reasons. - My wifi router had a firmware update and restarted during the night? The map was gone - There was a power outage? The map was gone - My mother-in-law wasn’t having a good day? poof, the map was gone. I could sneeze at my T20 Omni and I bet ya the map would be gone. I give props to Ecovacs for listening to customers’ complaints. I am happy to say they have completely rectified the issue on the T30s. In the last 2 weeks that I have been using my T30s, I’ve had multiple occasions in which I thought it would fall into the map lost loop and thrash my saved map right out the window and it didn’t. It was able to immediately locate itself and get back to the base station. No more, “Houston, we’ve had a problem.” issue. Base Station Water Tank: This is probably the only gripe I have on the T30s; c’mon Ecovacs, how do you go backward on your water tank design? The T20 Omni was equipped with an extremely sturdy water tank with hard clear plastic and a springed lid latch that simply provided confidence. There is a sense of reassurance when the latch clinches to the tank with a mechanical thud, that I can hold the tank by the top handle and not worry about the lid swinging open and pouring the water down my floor. The T30s uses a much softer plastic and the latch is only tension-loaded by the strength of the plastic. Overall: I am extremely happy about the T30s. It strikes the perfect balance between function and price. I wholeheartedly recommend anyone considering a robot vacuum to take a serious look at the T30s.

This is honestly the worst product I’ve ever purchased. I bought it as a gift for my dad and shipped it to Brazil. Unfortunately, it stopped working in less than a month. Because the product was already in Brazil, I was unable to return it through Amazon. I contacted both Amazon and Ecovacs looking for a solution, but neither one was willing to help. I was basically told that there was nothing they could do. So now I’m left with a nearly $500 product that doesn’t work and no support from either Amazon or Ecovacs. I expected much more from a product at this price point, especially from a well-known brand like Ecovacs. The product failing so quickly is already unacceptable, but the complete lack of customer support made the experience even worse. I would absolutely not recommend this product. Save your money and buy from a company that will actually stand behind its product.

This review, for context, is coming from a T8/N8 series unit which I've had for several years. The T8/N8 can mop, but its manual (you put the pad in and fill) and doesn't scrub -- just wipe. The T50 has several improvements. The T8/N8 series simply can't mop unattended at all, and it has issues with other than lowest-pile carpets. You can address this by trimming the rubber brush component VERY SLIGHTLY without any material impact on its performance. It still works and has been relegated to my basement, which is all hard (engineered) surface. The T50 does a credible job on mixed-surface environments, which is why I figured it might be worth the money. It can be told to vacuum carpet first, which is a mixed bag. IMHO you want to run mopping as a completely separate operation, NOT MIXED with the other things it does, but that is MY take on it. Yours may vary. The mapping is EXTREMELY fast compared with the older models and unlike the older ones it is less-tall as it doesn't have the protruding laser sensor; its in the front and on the side. As such it will fit under couches and other furniture the other does not. That's excellent; the other had to have an exclusion zone set around some furniture or it would get severely confused and could wreck the map, which is a serious PITA. This one doesn't have that problem at all as the sensors are much closer to the floor. One caution -- CHECK THE MAP after it first sets it up. It may or may not be reasonable; if you see things that aren't run the mapping again. I had it think there was no wall in one place where there was which caused it to have a "miss" area that it has to cover in the laundry room; re-mapping resolved it immediately. It does a good job on both hard floors (engineered, tile or real wood) and carpeting/area rugs. I do not allow it to mop my real wood as I simply don't trust anything but the cleaner I use for that, by hand -- on engineered or tile its fine, but you will be very unhappy if real wood gets damaged, so use your head. Also, I found a place for the base that is on tile (since the unit has a water tank in it and thus COULD leak, a disaster on real wood.) I recommend setting up a completely separate mop cycle for those areas of your home that need to be/should be mopped, and having it vacuum FIRST. The company advertises that it can detect and avoid things it shouldn't run over (e.g. pets.) Whether it can detect something like cat puke is not yet determined..... yeah that's bad if your automated vacuum runs over and tries to pick that up; you will not like the results. Just saying. Cleaning performance is excellent; it does a bit better job of getting into corners with the articulated "grabber" brush on wood and other hard surfaces than the older model, and the anti-tangle appears to work very well (I have animals so hair was a consideration with the other and had to be checked on the main roll every week or so.) No issues with that on this model as of yet at all. Battery-life wise its considerably longer than the T8/N8 series on a charge. The other model had to recharge during an "auto" clean in my home; this one finishes with ~30% power remaining. That's nice. Its also quite a bit quieter than the T8/N8. Its not silent obviously (it IS a vacuum!) but the noise level is not bad at all. The one thing to be aware of is that the mop loading/cleaning cycle at the base is a bit loud, and goes on for a bit. The dry cycle for the pads can be heard but is not obtrusive at all. I can't comment on durability or service life right now as the unit basically brand new, which is why only four stars instead of five. One reason I stuck with Ecovacs is that on the T8/N8 models, at least, they can be reasonably disassembled and parts (motors, etc.) CAN be had once the warranty expires -- and Ecovacs appears to have done a fair bit of work in detecting potential problems with those components and erroring the unit out (thus you know it needs real work) before the driver electronics are destroyed. Having had to replace a few things over the years in my T8 that matters as otherwise you're buying a whole new robot. This model is too new to know if the secondary parts flow will be there once it starts to become important (a year or two from purchase); hopefully so, but without some sort of commitment from the company, which is never there with these things, its all third-party (and mostly from Chinese sellers, often used unit pulls too so you have to be careful as those will never have the full service life of a new part.) Price/performance is up to you. These things aren't cheap and they DO NOT replace the need for a decent stick (carpet) vacuum if you have carpeting; they reduce the need, but do not eliminate it. You have to judge if the value is there.

I bought this a couple weeks or so before xmas and it was swiftly delivered the day after xmas. Having gotten walloped by a flu, I've been responsibly huddled in my bed while responsibly feeling sorry for myself, and have been respectfully listening to my Asian girlfriend clean my house for me. She has an Asian woman's sense of cleanliness, amped up with an OCD toward cleanliness and turbo charged with a cosmic abhorrence toward cat hair. She's thorough. Having mostly conquered the pestilence within, I assembled "that moppy schlingy thing" (say that like an Asian woman), let it charge, downloaded the app, let it map the downstairs, and then I put it into its first clean/mop cycle. What got dumped into the dirty water tank (translation: what an OCD Asian cutness didn't clean off the floor) was gross. It was humbling (not for me, I'm a guy). Honestly, this little robot is thorough, it's quiet and it's freakishly good. The app seems pretty intuitive to use, and it allowed me to actually name the floor cleaner. (My buddy Greg said that "House Slave" is extremely insensitive, so I've named it Greg instead.) Looking at the map of my house what Greg cleans, I can see how accurate the map was - dining room, kitchen, The Dojo (aka powder room), main room, etc etc are all there, and you can watch the thing clean real-time on the app. Assembling and initially setup of Greg and the system was pretty easy - I really think it helps to have the app downloaded first. Really, all I did was install the robot's tray and then plug it in, and then put the cleaner into its nook to charge. The rest was the initial robot setup (date, time, region, cleaning preferences, etc). Actual Greg suggested that I add denture cleaner (those fizzy tablets that I buy my dad but go unused apparently) to cut down on the odor from the dirty water tank. As I've gone through two full cleaning cycles, I've yet to experience this, so I might use the tablets instead in my bath tub if I start to feel crappy again. Bottom line - well worth the buy so far. My floors, a combo of hardwood and carpets have never looked so good. I've got a persian rug that was getting kind of dusty (Asian girlfriend calls it gross and in need of the dump), but I think all it needed was a good vacuuming or two. I think a daily dose of Greg will do the trick, honestly. Setup was easy, the app is intuitive and the cleaning robots are thorough and quiet. I forgot quiet. No one has aver cleaned my house and been that quiet.

I always wait a year before reviewing so I can be accurate for you. It's constantly telling me the dust bags is full even though it's new. I buy THEIR brand of dust bags, because they blame it on the after market brands, which are less than half the cost. At 2 months they replaced it because the batteries would not charge. I've had to do a factory reset more than a dozen times, because I'd get up in the morning and it'd be sitting in the middle of a room, looking stupid. Read that, sometime TWICE a month! I'm an 81-years-old, man. Besides simply being UNABLE to vac and mop my floor myself, it's a pain to reset, then remap the house, setup barriers, program it for a deep clean...etc. There's no carpet. How hard should it be?! 4 months ago, I disabled the mop function because I was getting some water table clogged issue. Pulled all the rubber plugs, rand air from my compressor down the tubes, no joy! Fortunately, I got the 4 year warranty (Which they don't offer anymore) because I'm going to have to replace it, AGAIN! I will admit their support is very good. Last time they replaced it, the sent a new one, I had to pay a neighbor $50.00 to unpack the new one and repack the old, then take it to UPS because *I* can't do that! People, PLEASE do not review something after you use it one time! If you must, Update your review after you've had it several months!

Our house is a mix of hardwood and rugs of standard thickness (< 1/2".). Also, with kids, there is always something lying on the ground and needs to be dodged - backpack, lacrosse stick, shoes, etc. We loved the T30S for 6-9 months since purchasing it. It does a very good job of both vacuuming, and also mopping the hardwood floor. I have no idea how it plans its path. So, while mopping, I can see from the water marks that it's not perfect and part of the floor is missed. However, overall, when seeing it operate over a few days or a week, the floor looks uniformly better than without the robovac. So why the 2-star rating? The reason is that my review is after 1 year of use and would have been a 4 or 5 star if it had been earlier. I suspect that most, if not all, of the enthusiastic reviews for this robovac are from the first few months of use. There's no question it works well. The problem is that after 6-7 months of use, I noticed that the mopping pads were getting dropped near the rugs every night. So I contacted Ecovacs support, sent purchase receipts, videos and photos of the pads. It was clear that the velcro-style attachment for the mopping pads had lost their grip and no longer held the mops when raising them to vacuum the rugs. First, they did not have any solution and said that the velcro looked fine. Second, they did not have any solution or spare parts that I could even pay for to fix the issue. What seemed good was that they offered to replace the entire unit but because they didn't have a T30S, they could only send me a X2 which has poor ratings on Amazon! It also has less power. Be warned - if, like me, you pay $1200+ for a Ecovacs unit, do check that you don't have mopping pads attached with velcro because the pad bases *WILL* fail, leaving you with no mopping, and you won't have any fix after a year i.e. you have to trash the unit if you want mopping.

Fiz a importação direta pela Amazon, ou seja vendida e entregue por eles. O robô tem um dos melhores mops, dispenser para produto de limpeza, secagem dos mops, e todos os recursos que uma estação Omni oferece. Porém o problema começa quando você precisa encontrar peças de reposição, na própria Amazon simplesmente não existe, comprei um kit que vinha filtros, escovão, etc, porém o filtro hepa e a escova principal não encaixam, o filtro mais estreiro e o escovão central com encaixe diferente. Enfim, se você mora no Brasil, melhor ir de Roborock, que está presente no Brasil e você não vai morrer de raiva assim como eu.

I have been using this vacuum and mop for a few weeks and it has made cleaning my floors much easier. The suction is very strong, so it picks up dust, crumbs, and pet hair without leaving much behind. I like that it can also mop, which helps keep the floors looking fresh between deeper cleanings. The self-emptying station works well and means I don’t have to empty it after every run. The bin inside holds a lot, so I can go many weeks before it needs attention. The battery lasts long enough to clean my whole place in one go. Even on the higher power settings, it doesn’t die halfway through. It also moves around furniture without getting stuck often. When it does run into something, it just adjusts and keeps going. I have a dog that sheds a lot, and the anti-tangle design really helps because I don’t have to pull hair out of the brush all the time. Setup was easy and connecting it to the app was quick. I can schedule cleaning times, choose certain rooms, or send it out for a spot clean when needed. It’s not too loud, so I can still be on calls or watch TV while it’s running. Overall, it’s been reliable and effective, and it has taken a lot of work off my hands. I feel like my floors stay cleaner with less effort on my part, which makes it worth the investment.
