How long does it take for the rat to die after ingestation?

As mentioned on the front of the packet, this kills in one feed. We unfortunately do not have a specific time for for when this fully works.

Anyone know if birds will peck at this? Rats I want to get rid off,, not my Robins :]

I would only use with a bait box, which will stop birds, pets and children from getting to the blocks, the one I purchased already had blocks in so was ready to use. It worked after one feed as no evidence of being eaten again so suggests it really does kill after one feed. So for this reason I would want to be happy only the rats and mice can get to the blocks, so if you can afford to buy the bait box.

Put bait blocks in 2 places last night - this morning both blocks totally gone . Do they usually take the whole block away?

Yes what you need to is keep putting them out until they no longer take them. Then you know you have got rid of the problem. Don’t worry if you have to put quite a few blocks out. What l do is every now and again l put a couple of blocks just to check if they are still about hope this helps

Will these hurt squirrels

I put these little nuggets in a bait box and found them very effective as long as there is no other source of food for rats or mice to eat nearby, i.e. bird food. Entry to the box is too small for squirrels.

Good product

This is the second tub I have bought of these over time. Each time I have needed to use them they have worked ok. I found it takes four to six cubes to work on what seems to be a family of three or four rats. I found them more effective than the sealed bags.
