I have running boards, which make putting it on and removing it easy. I haven't ever driven with it on, so I can't speak to that. If using for your moonroof, you need to leave a little slack or it will create its own slack that may not be ideal. I found that if you connect the magnet edges together on the short side, it's just enough and even with the little bunched edge, it still keeps the bugs out. It also provides some great shade, while still allowing a bit of a breeze and light through.

Wanted this for car camping so I could open my sunroof or moonroof without worrying about bugs and it works awesome. I have running boards, which make putting it on and removing it easy. I haven't ever driven with it on, so I can't speak to that. If using for your moonroof, you need to leave a little slack or it will create its own slack that may not be ideal. These shades didn’t fit my windows very well but the biggest problem is the magnets are too few and not strong enough to hold it in place.
