When I purchase from Amazon, I read the reviews starting at 1 Star & move up from there. In reviewing the Yeti Rambler French Press, the complaint for the 1, 2 & 3 Stars were that the the spot does not pour properly and the coffee does not stay hot. What I found was that the spout worked properly, with no drips. As far as the coffee staying warm, just raise the press to keep the coffee pipping hot. Not rocket science! Great product, like all Yeti products! For me, why did I wait so long to purchase this?

The best French press I've ever used. Started my first coffee in the pot at 7:30 am. Last cup as hot as the first by 10:30 am. Followed the directions for coffee bloom and the flavor is great. No moving parts, no power needed, this pot will last forever. It is a little pricy but I was able to use my cash back points after Christmas to really reduce the price.

This is the best French press I’ve ever owned. It’s metal, ceramic, and a thick plastic lid that is well made. The screen and seal on the stem are exceptionally well made. I expect this to last. It is sturdy, but that means it’s heavy too, especially when filled with water. Some people may find this problematic. If so go with the smaller model. Some reviews complain about the force it takes to press the screen and seal down. It’s not that bad in my experience. This one, like every French press is a mess to clean up but it disassembles and easily reassembles without compromising the quality of the pressing mechanisms. If you like French presses this is probably one of the best you’ll find

Great potential and I would purchase again (If reason #2 was fixed), but only three stars for the following two reasons: 1. The first Rambler arrived, and the press was bent. This made it virtually impossible to use, and I burned my wrists and made a mess during the first use. This is not my first rodeo with a French press. We exchanged it, and the issue was remedied. While I have French press products that were easier to use, it is breaking in just fine. 2. More tragic, the top itself has a pouring hole that cannot be covered. I own multiple Yeti products, and I am stunned this was not addressed during concept/creation. Yeti is known for keeping things hot, and this product way misses the mark of what Yeti is known for. Tragic to think that this press cannot survive the morning without losing an insane amount of heat. That part is truly disappointing. So, yes, great concept, sturdy as a brick, excecution fail on the press/top.

I am the only one in my household who enjoys coffee, so I just make a daily pour over. I have a small French press but needed something for having guests. I bought this simply for the size, plus I love all my other Yeti beverage items. This was super easy to use, very straightforward, and kept the coffee hot for hours. However, I found that it leaked when I poured out coffee. After talking to Yeti for troubleshooting and refilling the French press to go through the problem, I discovered my USER ERROR. The lid seals when you push it closed, but I forgot to twist it to secure it. That missing twist is what caused my leakage. Problem solved. Excited to continue using this French press.

The bad: the mesh screen is too fine. If you have an inconsistent cheap coffee grinder, it will be a problem. Like other users, many times I was lucky to get it to press down once you get it down you’ll be lucky to get it apart. You will break the filter eventually. What yeti does not explain is the solution of this problem is a good grinder that grinds consistent corse size. Not a cheap blade grinder. I recommend the SHARDOR flat burr coffee grinder. What yeti should have done is offered different screen mesh sizes for different users. Then this French press would fit anyone’s needs or desires. The super fine screen they provide makes it almost impossible for most users to use and would require a nice grinder with better grind consistency. It will need a course or grind to function without breaking. The last time I use the grinder, I had to put my entire body weight on it to get it to press and ruined the screen. I could hardly get it apart. The Good: It’s been several months since I used it and I decided to see if I could fix the problem since I now have the SHARDOR flat burr grinder. As I went looking for a replacement screen, I found yeti offers it with the lid as an assembly for about $32. I realize that other French presses I have used were more course of a screen and provided different flavor profile. I thought wouldn’t it be nice if I could just get a regular French press screen with a more course configuration I started searching and measuring and found the Stanley French press has the same approximate 4 1/2 inch diameter screen. I purchased the Stanley replacement French press course screens from Amazon and it fit perfectly. All I had to do was add at some a quarter inch stainless steel washers to take up the gap on the end of the rod and it threaded right on. I could do better with some kind of stainless steel space or something later, but that’s what I had laying around. I tried the French press and the flavor is awesome. Pushed very easily granted it may scratch the interior of the French press overtime, but I really don’t care. It functions beautifully. The taste was awesome. Very very happy! Yeti learn to offer different screen mesh sizes for your customers!!! This would be the perfect French press for anyone after that. I will attach pictures of the Stanley screen that I used. It was only $16 on Amazon. I really like the size of this French press gives me a large amount of coffee. That’s the main reason I bought it but now it functions great! I have never had any problems with the lid leaking like a lot of people complain of. I just make sure I turn the lid and snug it tightly against the lock has never been an issue at all.

Love this! So easy to use and clean. I love a good cup of French press coffee. This is plenty big enough for making plenty to share. Keeps my coffee warm for a long time.

My husband loves this French press. It has incredible suction and keeps the grounds out of his coffee cup, as well as keeps the coffee hot for a long time. The suction/seal is so good that it can be quite hard to push down and/or take out the plunger. Much easier to clean than typical french presses. Feels like a very well made product, capable of lasting several years.
