It works really well! Have purchased three of them!
It works! I recently got a rescue pup, Chance, and used this the first week he was with me. I think it helped him learn to come when he hears my call or whistle. Updated 1-12-2026 -- I gave the Jugbow collar to my daughter to use with her Border Collie. Recently, I re-ordered it as our wonderful rescue pup has one teeny tiny bad habit -- he's rambunctious and playful with our Standard Poodle, Mr. Deeds. That in and of itself isn't bad, but he's so playful that he distracts Deeds' constitutional habits. Out of self defense, Deeds turns around and comes back in the house, "leave me alone, Chance!" After reading the instructions and setting it up, yesterday, I used it with him for the first time since last May. I think because he wears a GPS collar for boundaries, he's sensitive to the chime/vibrate/shock thing. During morning chores, with the collar on, he started his usual "attack Deeds!" mode. A touch of the chime and he froze! Through chore time, each time he started to tackle Deeds, a button push after "Chance, Enough!" and he stopped. By the end of chores as we went around the property filling bird feeders, he was calm and behaving and NOT bothering Deeds. He did, however, still steal Deed's stick! "What's mine is mine, what's yours is mine, too!" Pups!... Updated 2/18/2026 -- purchased for third time, for my Standard Poodle, to help him learn to be a little less rambunctious with the rescue pup, to come immediately when called. Very good product, battery charge lasts forever on both collar and controller.

Meh
This product worked well when I first got it. I never used the shock so I’m unsure if that worked from the beginning, however my dog got into a scuffle. He was attacked by a new dog in neighborhood, but little did the new dog know, my dog was adamant about protecting his territory. New dog comes in our yard, attacks our dog and in the midst of the scuffle, my dog gets this dog by the neck. At this point, I run to grab the remote and pushed dang near every button to get it to work. While my dog gets the other dog by neck, I decide to try the shock but are enough the shock wouldn’t work. The only thing that did work was the beep and thankfully my dog hates that sound so I had to beep him away from this other dog. Totally not okay. As much as the beep helped, that is not enough in the instance the attack was worse or my dog wasn’t able to fend for himself. I tried contacting someone in regards to getting help but no one has reached out. This product is definitely not worth the $50 but I would recommend this product only if you’re using the beep, but the other options do not work. After a couple of days, it was time to charge the collar and now it won’t do anything, not even beep. The collar won’t even charge. No dogs were hurt during the scuffle

Game changer!
This training collar was a game changer! I bought it for my one year old Pomeranian. The collar is super sturdy yet soft woven nylon type material & it is adjustable for a range of neck sizes from large dogs to small dogs. He is approximately 10 pounds and has a natural long fluffy coat (throwback pom). The vibration intensity is adjustable, and the shock levels go from 0-99. I had to change out the prongs to the longer prongs in order to make contact with his skin through his double coat. There is a tester piece included to test that the collar prongs are working before you use it or if you replace the prongs, or just question it functioning for any reason. I only have the shock setting at 15, and I've only had to use it twice, and it doesn't make him yelp or cry, it's just enough to divert his attention back to my commands, which he has responded immediately. This collar has allowed him to have access to the entire yard where he's able to run and play while teaching boundaries (the road and woods) opposed to a tie out with more limited space. After some training, he responds better to verbal commands, and if extra reinforcement is needed, the beep and vibration is enough to get his attention now. The collar and remote come with a dual charging cable but they have stayed charged for me ever since I got it out of the box (it has been about two months, and we only use it when we go outside to play or potty). The remote is easy to use, the controls are easily identifiable and adjustable, the buttons are sturdy but easy to push, and the remote even has a lock on the side to prevent accidental pushing of the buttons. The remote is easy to hold, it isn't too large, but it also comes with a nice sized lanyard to be able to wear around your neck if you're hiking or don't have pockets. I would absolutely recommend this training collar and remote to anyone.

Keep looking…
Update. I increased my review numbers because their customer service was very good and has shipped me a replacement. And since the writing of my original review, I’ve tried two other collars, one was Teendow brand, the other WZPET and I can honestly say they were both far lower quality from the beginning, not even worth giving them time to evaluate long term performance. Both remotes were inferior in that they failed to transmit corrections consistently. (a complete fail when training a dog) Will continue to update. I was very happy with this thing for the first few months. The vibrate feature is wonderful, my dog was very responsive to it and only very rarely did he need the actual shock feature as we trained him to the boundaries of our yard, and of behavior. The reason for one star is, after four months it’s dead. I’m very tired of low quality products that do not last, I suppose the only consolation is I didn’t pay a fortune for it. Also, the way it is charges is far from ideal as it must be perfectly aligned and not bumped until it’s done charging. My recommendation, look for one with similar features including the vibrate, that’s easy to charge and lasts long enough to get the dog fully trained because this one will not. Tony is sporting his now non-functional collar and hamming it up with his good friend Johnson

Great Obedience Collar.
This collar has been a game changer getting our dog to come in from the back yard. It's been 4 months now and he responds well. We give him a voice command- "come home" and 1 vibration (on very low) if he doesn't obey the first time. It took about 1 week for him to fully comply. Sometimes, just holding up the remote for him to see is enough for him to start running home for the back door. There have been times it wasn't charged but he didn't know that and responded positively to seeing the remote in hand. We wear the remote around our neck and hover our hand near it if he plays too aggressively. That settles him down. We do not use the shock features at all. The beep feature had him searching about the ground, so vibration works best for us. Collar doesn't always make a difference if he feels threatened by another dog on a walk - but one thing at a time. I wish we had gotten collar when we first got him.

SHOCK COLLAR ADEQUATE: JUGBOW TRAINING WITH LIMITS 🐕🔧⚖️ [⭐⭐⭐☠️☠️]
Jay Fray delivering the balanced truth about this Jugbow dog shock collar with 4200-foot range that provides basic training functionality while revealing quality and performance concerns. Review Title: Works But Quality Could Be Better Detailed Review: Purchased this Jugbow dog training collar with remote expecting reliable correction options for training dogs on construction sites where voice commands don't always carry. The collar provides basic shock, vibration, and tone functions though execution shows budget construction limitations. The 4200-foot range claim proves optimistic with actual effective distance falling significantly short in real-world conditions with obstacles, terrain, or interference. Reliable range appears closer to half the advertised distance for consistent signal transmission. IPX8 waterproof rating works adequately for rain exposure or dogs running through water, though long-term water resistance durability remains questionable with budget construction that may develop seal failures over time. Correction levels provide adequate adjustment range with multiple intensity settings, though the collar delivers inconsistent stimulation strength that makes precise training difficult. Some corrections feel too weak while others seem excessive even on similar settings. Remote control functionality operates reliably for basic training scenarios though button layout could be more intuitive for quick corrections during active training sessions. The learning curve is steeper than premium collar systems. Battery life on both collar and remote falls short of advertised duration with frequent recharging required for regular training use. Build quality feels budget-oriented with components that may not withstand demanding outdoor use or active dogs that stress equipment during training. Jay Fray verdict: Functional training collar with basic correction options limited by inconsistent performance and budget construction. Adequate for light training when premium collar quality isn't critical.

Works! Great buy - good value.
Works!! I have a two and a half year old Australian Kelpie and this was an immediate game changer. He was obstinate at first, I started the shock off at 5 and he didn’t care, by 50 he cared. After just 30 mins of using it, he understood what the beep meant. He’d push it until I used vibrate, but wasn’t interested in pushing it to the shock. Perfect game of fetch for the next hour- no running around or bolting. Can’t wait to use it on our next walk!! Fingers crossed no pulling or straining at the leash. This product is easy to use - works like it says and looks good. The beep is just loud enough - I actually wish it was a bit louder so when the dogs a little further away I could still hear it. I also wish that the hand remote lit up for easier use but overall I’m happy with it. I feel it’ll add function to our training routine.
