Featuring push-button terminals for easy wiring, a magnetic backplate for quick mounting, and a sleek modern design, this lightweight adapter ensures seamless compatibility with most HVAC systems, delivering reliable 24V power to your thermostat. ## Description A C-Wire Adapter is needed when installing a Honeywell Home Smart Thermostat and a common wire or C-Wire (24 volts) is not present. The C-Wire Adapter makes Honeywell Home smart thermostats compatible with most homes that don’t have a common wire. All Honeywell Home Smart Thermostats require 24 volts power (C-Wire). Some homes may have an unused C-wire sometimes tugged behind the wall where thermostat is installed. ## Features - The C-Wire Adapter takes the wires from the thermostat and provides a bridge to the equipment so there is no need to run new wires to power the thermostat. - Push button terminals for the wires coming from the thermostat make for easy wiring. - Five wires exit the C-Wire Adapter to connect to the equipment, with the extra wire to connect to the C terminal to provide the thermostat 24 volts power. - Magnetic backplate allows for easily mounting the adapter to the outside of your furnace. - The sleek, modern Honeywell Home exterior keeps the installation site clean and professional. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Asin | B0CX9FKFB4 | | Backlight | Yes | | Brand Name | Honeywell Home | | Colour | White | | Connectivity Protocol | Wi-Fi | | Connectivity Technology | Wi-Fi | | Control Method | Touch | | Control Type | Button Control | | Controller Type | Push Button | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars (202) 4.4 out of 5 stars | | Display Type | digital | | Included Components | 1 x Remote Control | | Item Dimensions D X W X H | 2.5D x 6.6W x 6.6H centimetres | | Item Type Name | Adapter | | Item Weight | 68 g | | Manufacturer | Resideo | | Manufacturer Part Number | CWIREADPTR8001/N | | Material Type | Plastic Metal | | Model Name | CWIREADPTR8001/N | | Model Number | CWIREADPTR8001/N | | Mounting Type | Wall Mount | | Power Source | Corded Electric | | Product Style | Modern | | Special Features | Lightweight Design | | Specific Uses For Product | HVAC systems, Thermostat powering | | Temperature Control Type | Programmable | | Upc | 194159013605 | | Voltage | 24 Volts | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Honeywell - **Colour:** White - **Connectivity technology:** Wi-Fi - **Controller type:** Push Button - **Included components:** 1 x Remote Control - **Model name:** CWIREADPTR8001/N - **Power source:** Corded Electric - **Special feature:** Lightweight Design - **Specific uses for product:** HVAC systems, Thermostat powering - **Temperature Control Type:** Programmable ## Images ![Honeywell Home C-Wire Adapter CWIREADPTR8001/E - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61OcNa3yyML.jpg) ![Honeywell Home C-Wire Adapter CWIREADPTR8001/E - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51TzOT7GROL.jpg) ![Honeywell Home C-Wire Adapter CWIREADPTR8001/E - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61XD6sOjLNL.jpg) ![Honeywell Home C-Wire Adapter CWIREADPTR8001/E - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71BtUcLAkML.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great solution to a common problem! *by on Reviewed in the United States 29 July 2026* Very simple fix to a common problem.Instructions are straight forward.
