SUPERB QUALITY TABLEWARE
Quality tableware with a lovely but simple design. I've bought mine for using in my motorhome and it's ideal. Like the choice of sqare plates for a change. The only problem is that there are so many lovely designs to choose from. I would highly recommend Corelle to anyone.

A little dissapointed..
I like the overall idea of these plates for use in a caravan or camping enviroment. They are slightly lighter than a cheap set of thick plates that would survive ok in a camping scenario, and definitely a much better than a set of even the latest melamine plates, which are still plastic after all. Corelle plates are I believe a great compromise of strength, weight and delicacy and closer to bone china than Melamine. The mugs included are not Corelle thay are heavy stoneware type mugs which is a shame as defeat the object of lightweight ethos, and I just binned them, taking a risk with decent plain white china ones. My only problem was the printing of the pattern, it looks like it is silk screened on, and whilst the luncheon plates were fine, the dinner plates were blurred and made your eyes go funny. I rang the supplier and they were at the caravan show in Birmingham, and agreed to swap them out... be warned we went through two other packs before we got four decent plates so I guess a dodgy batch. With any other company these would have been sold as seconds, but it seems Corelle just have one grade and obviously the quality assurance isn't great.

Love these plates so much. We are still using them a year later and they still look just like they did when we got them

Practical and beautiful
I'm just going to get this part out of the way. If you grew up a certain...way, Corelle dishes have a class connotation. If you want to convince your social betters they're not your betters, you better choose different plates. Ok. I said it. I, however, am able to rise above such pettiness and bring home the plates of the people. Here's why. Have you ever had children? Tile floors? Concrete countertops? Or most destructive of all, a lummox of a husband? Then you, like me, may have lost 9 of your 10 cereal bowls, and 8 of your 10 coffee mugs to breakage. Perhaps you, like me, don't always enjoy lifting a big, heavy stack of ceramic plates high up on a shelf. I thought, there has to be something sturdier, and lighter, but that won't get scratched up by cutlery, and that when present in Chinese-made dog food won't be a lethal poison. Answer? Corelle. And the price? I paid more per setting for my old dishes than I paid for the 4-set of these. The Mandarin Flower Square dishes look just like the picture, only prettier. The design is made with a very dark and a light shade of grey, and red. Poppy red. Coral red. Chinese laquer red. A warm red. To my eye, grey and poppy red are a strikingly lovely combination. As another reviewer stated, the design has a fabric-like appearance, not that pixelated sticker effect that is so cheap looking. They fit sooooooo much better in the dishwasher than our old set. My husband says the food even looks more appetizing on them. (Thanks, I think.)

Very disappointed
The coffee mugs are made in China and made out of different material than the plates.

Very nice dishes!
Corelle is absolutely worth the price and these are very pretty. Lightweight and strong with a nice imprint that is very true to pictured. I had to order another set once I saw these. Definitely recommended! The cup is also important to me that it has a little more weight than the plates so I was very pleased to see this does. Does not feel like a tea cup but feels more like the weight of a ceramic coffee cup with the strength of Corelle.

Nicest of the Corelle Patterns, If You Want A Pop of Color
i had a set of Corelle about 30 years ago and loved them, but my husband hated them, so after months of his whining😢, I gave in and we bought stoneware. My husband passed away a year and a half ago and I moved last summer. I bought new things for the new kitchen including the orange Rachael Ray cookware. I did bring the multi colored stoneware and bought the Fiesta silverware. I have RA, and the stoneware had become just too heavy, especially since for the first time in forty years I don't have a dishwasher🙀. I was looking at the Corelle dish sets and came upon the "Happy Days" pattern and loved it. It came in the Amazon Prime two days and I was impressed with the way it was packed. It was in an Amazon shipping box with air pillows and the box with the dishes was well wrapped in bubble wrap taped securely so it stayed on. It took me quite a while to get the inner box open, but it was great because the set arrived perfectly with no chips, cracks or breaks. The pattern has the pop of color that the other Correlle patterns seem to lack. The dinner dishes are huge. The salad/dessert plates are more the size of my stoneware dinner plates, but they are all lightweight and easy to handle. As many other reviewers have stated, the dishes are all made from the well known Corelle materials, BUT the mugs are stoneware. I really don't know why, because the set we had all those years ago were made from the same material as the dishes. The mugs are a bit larger than my old stoneware mugs. I have an original one single serve Keurig Coffee Maker and the mug just fits. The dishes even match my kitchen curtains and accent walls. The only thing that is a bit strange, but I noticed seems to be the same with all patterns, is that the bowl is all white with a rim that matches the rust colored flower on the dishes. Even a flower at the bottom of the bowl would tie the bowl more in with the dishes. I don't find it a huge problem just an observation. Finally, I STRONGLY suggest you read the use and care instructions included with the dishes. There are some guidelines that you might not think about. The one that stuck out to me was not to use the dish in the microwave with food that includes a crisping sheath like Hot Pockets. Again, not a huge problem, but good to be aware of. Otherwise I recommend the Corelle dishes and especially the Happy Days pattern!
