I used to live in a townhouse with me my ex and I got accustomed to the smart lock. Plus my apartment building already has a smart lock in the front door to the whole building that I can open from my phone. So I wanted that same keyless entry that I've been used to and to be able to leave without having to worry about my keys. I also am unable to swap out the whole lock since my apartment complex needs access to my door. This was a life saver. It doesn't look like I have a smart lock from the outside and it's just been a life saver. The lock itself is pretty high quality and only took a few minutes to setup. It does use a little hub on the inside for Internet connectivity but can still be used via Bluetooth if you had a power outage. I have been here about 6 months and haven't had an issue with the battery life which is great and the auto lock feature is amazing. Great option for that keyless entry for apartment dwellers!!

Installation is straightforward except the small screws provided took long to fit. With the smart hub I’ve been able to lock and unlock door when away from home.

Update. Received a replacement unit, rather speedy service and very attentive service desk. Thanks Jennifer. With just under 6 months of use it hs stopped working. Motor turns but the mechanism doesn't. I have emiled Switchbot directly and still awaiting on feedback. Not the expected reaction from something with a heavy price tag.

I’ve had a very good experience with this product. It was very easy to install, and very easy to setup using the SwitchBot app. It functions well, unlocks easily with the app or key, and is overall a great product.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: The setup instructions for the hub mini are dead wrong. It took me about an hour to get around their software problems and poor instructions. Even after that, it’s probably the most unintuitive application you’ve ever encountered. In order to enable the auto lock and unlock function you have to install a small magnet on the door frame; the door frame MUST be flush with the door, otherwise it will NOT work, trust me, I tried. I actually altered my doorframe and kind of got it to work, but I wish I didn’t. After hours of trial and tribulations I got it to work, more or less where I wanted it (less the auto lock function which was one of the most important things. Then after three days it stopped working and responding to anything. On top of all that, something they omit to say, is in order to give access to guests or temporary access to others, they all have to download the switchbot app and have it configured properly. THAT ALONE is a no go

after having this lock for a few weeks i really regret buying it. i’d return it but everything’s unboxed and the packaging is gone so it’s going in the trash pretty soon. the issues i have with it are: the mounting plate is made of plastic, the door closed/open detection is glitchy and stops working, it only comes in black, no keypad included, no Apple Home Key, and installing the 4 microscopic screws using the provided allen wrench was a nightmare. i feel ripped off because somewhere in the description it talks about “metal” or “aluminum” construction. but, literally the one thing that NEEDS to be metal, you know, the part that holds your deadbolt together—the mounting plate—is made of thin flimsy plastic. they provide two metal bolts that go through this plastic plate and you can’t tighten them very much otherwise it starts bending. wtf. i regret not stopping at that point in the install and returning it. how is this secure at all, someone could take a pry bar to the outside of your deadbolt and just rip the bolts through the thin crappy plastic. that to me is the most egregious issue, the others mentioned above are also pretty annoying and contribute to me regretting spending any amount of money on this lock.

Had a bit of a hard time getting the hub to connect properly. Once I rebooted and started from scratch it was fine. Way more quiet than I expected. Works remotely. The logs provided in the app are super helpful. It is a bit bulky but worth it so my landlord doesn’t pop me for tampering with the locks. The matte black finish goes well with my other hardware. A friend had an issue connecting to it through the QR code but that was probably their fault. Worth it for the peace of mind. Battery going strong after 2 weeks of at least 5 uses per day.

Avevo già utilizzato una Nuki, ma ho deciso di provare questa smartlock dopo aver letto che ha una forza maggiore nella rotazione della chiave. Dopo alcune settimane di utilizzo, posso confermare che la potenza del motore è effettivamente superiore e rende l’apertura della porta più fluida, anche con serrature un po’ più dure. Un aspetto positivo è la batteria intercambiabile (acquistata separatamente). Grazie al doppio pack, posso ricaricarne uno mentre l’altro è in funzione, evitando di lasciare la serratura senza alimentazione. 📌 Tuttavia, c’è un problema importante: spesso la serratura non completa lo scrocco finale, impedendo l’apertura della porta. Ho letto diverse recensioni di altri utenti con lo stesso problema, quindi suppongo sia un difetto software. ✅ Pro: • Motore più potente rispetto alla Nuki • Batteria intercambiabile, molto comoda • Installazione semplice ❌ Contro: • Il problema dello scrocco rende l’utilizzo poco affidabile • Necessario intervenire manualmente in diverse occasioni ✅AGGIORNAMENTO IMPORTANTE: L'assistenza mi ha proposto un nuovo aggiornamento software che pare abbia risolto la maggior parte dei problemi, azienda seria e disponibile!

Zuverlässiges Schloss, funkioniert einwandfrei. Die Einrichtung kann man mit wenig technischem Verständnis bewältigen. Die Software hängt manchmal ein bischen. Habe das Schloss ohne Extras gekauft. Über lege aber mir aber die NFC Karten als Erweiterung zu holen.

Esta cerradura cumple perfectamente mis expectativas y ya es la segunda bueno tercera que compro porque tuve que devolver la primera porque se averio la apertura del pestillo y en la devolución Amazon de diez como siempre. Antes había comprado una Yale Linux dos, y la devolví porque sufría continuas desconexiones tanto en bluetooth como en wifi y por ejemplo el autoonlock lo hacía o pronto o tarde y a veces no y la apertura de la puerta con el imán lo marcaba cuando abría bastante. Bueno pues esta switchbot la apertura con el imán la marca perfecta en cuanto desbloquea el pestillo y abre unos milímetros la puerta ya la marca como abierta y si cierras ya cierra lo hace perfecto, así que si por lo que sea se desbloquea sola o por error te va a marcar la alarma siempre. Por otro lado lo que yo creía que era empeorar que es tener el hub por separado para el Wi-Fi al final va a ser mejor puesto que consume muy poca pila la cerradura y además en una de ellas he cogido el pack de baterías recargables que viene que también funcionan estupendamente. Sí que es una cerradura más tosca un poco grande y un poquito más de ruido (muy poco) que no llega a ser molesto para nada comparada con la Yale, pero la verdad que no me molesta nada y más viendo que funciona estupendamente. Por otro lado lo único que le faltaba que es el autounlook lo han implementado hace unas 3,4 semanas en la última actualización y aunque lo he probado poco puesto que he estado una semana y pico con la devolución lo probé dos veces con la anterior y lo hizo muy bien aunque está en fase beta. Con esta nueva ya lo iré probando, así que es una cerradura que en principio lo tiene todo y le pueden faltar alguna configuración que tienen las otras conocidas pero con la que tiene para mí vale de sobra , como por ejemplo en el autum look te deja cambiar el radio de acción desde 100 metros en adelante que la Yale solo te dejaba 200 fijos, y en principio no hecho en falta nada puesto que las alarmas las puedes configurar más o menos a gusto. Ah y se me olvidaba que tiene botón de un solo toque para abrir y cerrar (que también lo puedes hacer a mano) ,cosa que la Yale había que hacerlo a mano, por eso digo que para mí es completa.

A solid unit and improvement over the original lock. Interested in the battery pack as it can get through batteries. Whilst showing high % on my particular install the lock is a bit tight so the battery needs to be really good and full. After about 70% they are working but might not lock properly. This is due to my door and lock though being quite tight. Integrates well with Home Assistant and the main app is also very good. I like the peace of mind and the instant alerts through the app. If the lock is not used or door is open. Or if the lock doesn’t work. The keypad set up is really good too with the fingerprint scanning.
