Works great
I used this plus a FCMB memory card also from Amazon to set up my PS2 to back up my games and reduce strain on the aging optical drive. So far it's working great! Loading times don't seem too be any better than from the DVD but I don't mind. I'm sad it doesn't do networking (but it doesn't lose any stars for that, I knew it going in). I'm not sure why they made that decision, there are lots of ways to make use of it even today.

Works as Advertised
Like a lot of these adapters these DO NOT have the Network Port on them (they put a sticker over where it should be and there is nothing below the sticker). It works well for adding a SATA Harddrive to the PS2 however, a lot of people seem to have mixed results with these, but for me it worked. I threw a cheap Kingston 240GB SATA SSD (overkill because you're limited to UDMA133 by the PS2) behind it and runs like a champ.

Works
I was afraid this wouldn't work too well based off of the other reviews but it worked out of the box with a 1TB drive. Google the PS2 hard drive compatibility spreadsheet before purchasing. My drive was on there but I've read that the PS2 doesn't support all drives. This thing's certainly a cheaper quality than the official PS2 Network Adapters from the 00s, but it's to be expected at the cost. Also I'm fairly certain the product description said so, but don't expect to use the Ethernet ports. I think they're cosmetic only.

I understandably purchased this product with the expectation of it having an Ethernet port on the back. The images and language used very much imply that it does have such a port. Very annoyed to find out that when I received my device, the sticker has nothing under it. Read through the item listing a couple of times, can't see anywhere where it mentions not having network functionality. Googling images on "PS2 network adapter" shows images of this or a device like this with an Ethernet port. Seems very misleading to describe it as a "Network Adaptor" when it very much seems to lack any networking abilities. Maybe I am missing something?
