Picked this up after struggling with my old c-clamp style compressor and its been a real game changer for brake jobs. Used it on three different vehicles over the past month and its made compressing those pistons so much smoother. The grip feels solid in your hands and the squeezing action takes way less effort than traditional tools - no more sore hands after finishing the job. The metal construction is robust though noticed a tiny bit of play in the hinge after several uses, nothing that affects performance though. Works great on both single and dual piston calipers, just make sure to position it straight on or it can slip off. Found it helps to give the pistons a quick cleaning before compression to avoid any binding. The tool stays rust-free even after getting brake fluid on it which is nice. One small issue is the handles could use some rubber coating for better grip when your hands get greasy. Makes those rear brake jobs much quicker since you dont have to mess around with turning the piston anymore. Took a few tries to get used to the right angle of approach but once you figure it out its pretty foolproof. The size is just right for getting into tight spots around the wheel well without having to remove too many components. Really appreciate how it keeps the pistons level while compressing which helps prevent damage to the boots.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

When you first pick this tool up, you can tell it's not some bargain priced junk. Has that long lasting feel to it. I haven't used it extensively yet,and any tool can have hiccups, but this one seems to be the exception to the rule. Operates smooth, locks and unlocks correctly, and does what it's supposed to. At first glance, it looks like it was only made for single piston calipers. It handled dual piston calipers easily. Wish it was easier to make it lie flat for my shallower drawers in the tool box. But that's a minor inconvenience. Really speeds up the process of compressing the piston compared to the c clamp method. Like the finish on the handles, nothing stains them. Quick wipe, and they're like new. Overall a superb value

This works great! It's a big help with compressing the piston on your disk brake calipers. I wish I had found this years ago. Would have saved a lot of effort from having to use C-clamps to pusht the piston back.

I bought this as it was recommended by a friend to purchase something similar. I am glad I did because with multiple vehicles, I feel as though I'm constantly changing brake pads or being asked to from friends, family and neighbors. With this tool, I'm able to spread the brake pads a lot easier and faster and within minutes, I'm done changing all brakes. The tool itself is really easy to use and found that I'm able to easily use this with brakes for cars and trucks. I have yet to meet brake pads I'm not able to use this tool on. I have gotten this tool a bit dirty since getting it but found a little grease remover and an old rag helps clean it off. Not to mention, very secure tool too.
