Cool Piece of Science Art
This small light-up Periodic Table of the Elements is a great desktop ornament for science lovers. There are 118 elements in the periodic table. Like most periodic tables, it shows their atomic number, symbol, name, and atomic weight. It also has color codes depicting how the elements are grouped according to shared chemical and physical properties. The colored tables provide an extra dimension of information. The periodic table is printed onto the back of a clear piece of acrylic, which is 4.5” tall x 6” wide x ¾” thick. A soft cloth is included for cleaning the acrylic. The acrylic piece sits in the slot of a wooden block with colorful LEDs that illuminate it from underneath. You can set the colors up to stay as one color, or you can rotate through all the different colors. It also works as a night light. The LEDs are powered by a USB plug.In addition, this cool piece of science art comes with a sheet of cardstock featuring a "Periodic Chart of the Elements in Words" on one side and a "Periodic Chart of the Elements in Pictures" on the other. Both sides are packed full of interesting facts, which makes it a great study aid. Science teachers, chemistry students, or anyone interested in the elements that make up our world will appreciate this item!

Neat but too small and letters are tiny
Neat periodic table but way too small and hard to read. You have to bring it up to your face to see the letters and what’s written on it. It works well as a night light.

Nice desk ornament or night light.
I've been looking for a periodic table, saw this one and thought it might be nice to have. I was surprised by how small it was even though I read the dimensions before ordering. My next impression was how good it looked. With the LEDs shining up from the stand, it looks very nice. I think it would look great on a desk or even as a night light in a bedroom. The colors are selectable along with the brightness.Enclosed is a sheet that has information on the elements on both sides. Unfortunately it comes folded which I think diminishes the value of product. I ran it through a laminator and it flattened it nicely.I took a couple of pictures of the information for hydrogen on both sides of the sheet and the table and it provides a lot of educational information.I gave this 4 stars because it looks nice and there's a lot information about the elements. I deducted one because even though the dimensions are stated, the pictures of the product are deceptive.

This is an amazing desk decoration!
I have placed this periodic table on my desk at work and everyone is mesmerized by how cool it looks. The lighting effects are bright and they look great. The elements are all clearly visible, and the acrylic sheet is clear and perfectly see through. The LEDs provide a good amount of light, to the point where you can see everything clearly in both full light and in complete darkness. The wooden base is also nicely treated, and it doesn't look like any piece of scrap wood that they picked out for this. This periodic table is a knockout gift for the scientist in your life.

Nice Light Display
Very cool desk display made of thick acrylic on a nice wood base. It shows the elements in color. The LED lamp cycles the various colors and that serves to highlight the various element groups. Simply plug the display into a USB power adapter with a 4-foot cable. The display is a bit smaller than expected, but it still is quite useful as a visual tool for teaching students about the elements. Kit also comes with a fold-out pamphlet that describes various elements, providing background information including the sources and various uses for each of the elements. This handout is a very handy addition to the display. After showing the student and serving as a teaching tool, this item is nice enough to just sit there as an attractive desk ornament.

Nice Conversation Piece
As a scientist, this illuminated periodic table of elements is a nice conversation piece for my desk. It is definitely an attention grabber. Almost everyone comments on it. It is an elegant addition, plus a handy resource. It is a striking and colorful piece. It is well built, and it is good quality. The base is real wood, not a plastic imitation like I had feared. I like that the light is dimmable and the color changing provides a nice element. I can set the color and the brightness level that fits the need. I am pretty boring though, so I typically leave it on white light. This would be a great gift for any age and also a nice learning aid. It will certainly get the kids interested.

Excellent Functional Display Piece for Home Office
I really like the size and the detail in this Periodic Table of Elements. It works to illuminate the workspace while being very informative whether you are in the field of chemistry, and engineer, or even a current student in high school or college. You get a lot of data in such a small display. This product works well as the perfect gift for a chemistry student or even a chemistry major in college. The variety of light changes available makes this great for customization depending on how you want it lit.
