I used these shut offs to put at the beginning of each of my 4 raised garden beds so I could run one hose to all of the beds and then be able to shut off the water to any of the beds that I do not need to water. I put a T connector into the main hose and the head of each raised bed then continued on to do the same at each of the other beds. I put a small run of 1/2 inch tubing that led me into the raised garden bed and then installed the shut off valve before continuing my 1/2 inch hose throughout the rest of the bed. The valves installed easily into the 1/2 inch tubing especially once it was warmed up by the sun. The shut off knob is made of plastic but it seems very sturdy and shut the water off completely. Very happy with these for my set up.

I'm running 1/2 inch main drip line up into my raised beds to join with a header for 1/4 inch emitter tubing. Installing one of these shut off valves at each bed will allow me to control which beds get watered. I like that the blue knobs are highly visible. Easy to work with, and enough in this pack for all of my beds.
