Overall the silverware is great solid steel pretty sturdy. The main steel silverware piece goes all the way through the handle, but there are edges that stick out on the sides a little bit that may dig in depending on how you hold them and how hard you grip. The big downside for me is that the red is not really a true red oh, it's more of an orange red or better yet a reddish-orange.
