There is this horrible white stitching that goes around the bottom of the boot which i am not a fan of, but the way I figure it, that will dirty up soon and will not be noticeable. Although the description of the boot clearly says black, from looking at this picture I thought it would be a dark brown. It's not. My bad. The stitching on the boot itself is very, very vibrant, and imho a little gaudy, its red and green. There will be very few times when that section is actually visible, so i can deal with it.I have the same style boots in another color (Crazy Tan Gaucho) and I absolutely love them. I just find the colors and leather a little tacky.UPDATE: The "leather" is flaking off, I think it's just a plastic coating. I ordered this as a hiking boot and it more than stands up to the rugged terrain I traverse but it looks good enough to dust off and wear out on the town.
