This beauty from Vogue offers so much more. I bought my first Vogue in 1987 - Christy Turlington was on the cover, and so my love for the ultimate style bible began. Firstly, the cover is a brilliant reflection of what is inside - where else but Vogue could you find such a superb image? The book itself features not just fashion history from the past century but social and cultural signposts. Prominent designers, photographers, models and famous faces are documented and the quantity of the print is beautiful. I particularly enjoyed the more recent history of Vogue under the stewardship of editor Alexandra Shulman - it will be interesting to see what the next chapter will be. In this era of online communications, Vogue is still the best way of encountering aspirational style, and this book is a great purchase for anyone who simply loves fashion. Even with the discount I think this book is definitely worth full price- if not more than the RRP. Gorgeous images and great history- it mimics the exhibition so you can have a piece of history at home. My 8 year old daughter is into designing, so as this government is now scrapping A level Art History I thought I better do some home teaching to keep her fired up!
