How tall is this seat?

Unfolded (open). the seat is 18 inches from the ground. Folded, it measures 24 inches in length -- too long to fit into my carry-on luggage, even diagonally. I did use it as a carry-on just by itself; that was no problem.

This is a one size fits all chair.

Will this work on the sand at the beach when I need to rest while walking? Hard packed sand? Thanks

It would work on hard packed sand. Used in an archeological dig on vacation. It was very useful.

Will this chair pass TSA inspection at airport as a carry on or in luggage?

I have brought this item in both my carry on and strapped to my backpack numerous times on flights (somewhere in the range of 30+ airports) and have never had it be an issue.
