I bought these as lids for our Costco food grade buckets, and they worked perfectly. Installation was super easy and straightforward, no hassle at all. They fit really well and feel durable with a good thickness. The seal is tight and leak proof, which gives me peace of mind when storing food. Opening and closing is also very easy to use, even with frequent use. Overall, great quality and fully compatible with Costco buckets. I highly recommend!

These are such a good deal for great quality. I have yet to see any better priced then this and easier to use. I purchased them for 5 gallon buckets I keep wheat berries in and they are easy to put on, and I love that they close really thight but are easy to open. I can stand or sit on them with out issue. They fit perfectly on the bucket and have now purchased another set

It was difficult to get the lid on the bucket, but once it was on it has been amazing! The sizi g may be a bit small, or it could be smaller because it has a fantastic seal. These things are perfect for air tight storage and because they're plastic, they're super easy to clean. I have been using my lid to haul water in one of my buckets and have ZERO leaks. I am thoroughly impressed and love it! These things are light weight and add no weight to the bucket with durable plastic material.

These are good quality Gamma lids and are highly recommended. The safest, easiest way to install them is to separate the outer ring and center portion. Then place the outer ring on the bucket. While holding the ring down with hand pressure smack the ring with a rubber mallet near where you are applying pressure. That will seat a certain portion of the ring. After the first smack no more hand pressure will be needed. Just use the mallet to seat the remainder of the ring starting adjacent to the portion that is already seated. If you don't have a rubber mallet place a piece of 2 x 4 or a piece of plywood over the ring and smack the wood with a regular hammer. Can't believe some would suggest standing on the bucket and stomping on the Gamma lid. That sounds like a trip to the emergency room.

I've been buying Gamma Seals for a few years now. They work well and are a better design than the cheap knock-offs. If you're storing something worth sealing, it pays to use a good seal like these. Some say the base part is difficult to install onto a bucket, but I have always just placed the seal on the rim, turned the bucket upside down, and either lean my weight onto the bottom of the bucket or just sit on the bucket and the rim will pop right on. Then, just flip the bucket back over and the lid is ready to screw on. Easy. I had a weird problem in the past where the blue ones would crack. The other colors I have used of this brand (white, black, red) have not cracked; only the blue ones. This may be coincidence since I haven't found anyone else that has had this specific issue. I don't stack anything heavy on top and nothing stored on top of the blue ones are any different than the things stored on top of the other color lids. Again, it could just be an isolated issue. We shall see. The seals do work very well, though. I have stored salt and sugar (in separate buckets) using these seals. I live where it is VERY hot and VERY humid but the seals kept the contents in perfect condition. I don't typically store these outdoors or in a hot shed or garage but I have transported them in a truck bed, for instance where they did get exposed to that heat and humidity and still held up fine.

When researching how to seal 5 gallon buckets full of food for decades at a time, these kept showing up as the gold standard design to buy. Are they truly worth the extra costs to get them? I have no idea. However, I don't want to open a bucket of 30 pounds of rice 20-30 years from now and realize I should have bought the better product. I trusted all the AI researches I did on this sealing method and just did not stress the price. That said, this set of 3 are very well priced for Gamma designed lids. They are a real nice tight fit on the 5 gallon buckets I was using. I tapped the outer ring down tight with a rubber mallet and some mild taps. Once screwed into place, you can feel just how solid the connection is. I did temporarily seal them prior to adding O2 absorbers for the final seal and they were snug to get back off. The gasket seal and the high strength of the plastic makes these seem to hold a vacuum very well while remaining safely stackable. The screw can be a little tricky as it needs to sit perfectly to close, but they are easy to use once the outer ring on on.

Great lids! The first lid was a nightmare to install. The next two I soaked in hot water for 20 minutes, and they went on smoothly and easily. Very versatile setup.

Thought I could get by using the snap on lids on my grain containers--- nope so I ordered these. Had a heck of a time getting the old lids off and the rim of these on but boy am I glad I did its soooo easy to remove and yet it's air tight. Also best price I found!
