Easy to fit Master Socket for Phone and VDSL
This is the same master socket that BT Openreach would install. It comes in two parts, a backplate and a front plate that simply clip together. The incoming wire connects to the backplate while the front plate provides separate sockets for telephone and internet use via built-in filters. Removal of the front plate reveals the 'test socket' that marks the limit of the service provider's wiring. This model offers some advantages over earlier phone/DSL master sockets such as easily accessible connectors for the customer's own internal phone wiring and a connector enabling the customer to relocate their internet router connection to a location away from the master socket. This would need some suitable wire and an RJ11 socket and a little know-how. No special tools are required to install this master socket but that is the aspect I least liked. The snap-down connectors were fiddly as all the wires for each connector had to be correctly located and fixed at the same time. The BT Openreach design is functional rather than beautiful but the socket does the job perfectly.

Easy repair for a failed openreach unit.
The faceplate provided a quick and easy repair for a socket which had suffered water ingress.

No More Microfilters
Really happy with this faceplate. It removes the need for a separate ADSL microfilter. Really easy to fit. Works perfectly. Make sure you've got an NTE5c master socket, these are fairly new in 2018.

Replacement to BT standard faceplate
Perfect fit. I only needed the faceplate part but still it was great value for money and helped to improve my broadband speed by approx 5-10 mb/s

Easiest upgrade ever.
Fitted straight onto my 5c box. Removes the need for external filter. No tools required just swap the front face plate.

Faceplate doesn't clip on very well.
Works fine but faceplate does not clip on tightly. The faceplate just slides into place with no click to locate it so it will just fall off with the lightest tug of the cable. I've put some tape on mine.
