This is a Foxconn (make sure your motherboard's AM4 socket is Foxconn, you'll see an imprinted logo/branding in the top left) OEM socket well packaged in a protective case. For those who are using these to salvage the top cover there are a few steps you'll want to take when attempting to remove. The "brace" piece that goes across the top can be removed by disengaging the clips from the underside with a pick tool. To remove the top cover you'll want to set the lever arm in the unlocked position and then work on disengaging the three clips at the top end of the socket using a flat blade tool or pick starting at the end opposite the lever arm and working back towards the lever arm. You can gently pull the lever arm out slightly to help disengage the clips as it will lift the top cover up slightly due to the shape of the arm. When trying to unseat these clips it helps to keep a finger against them to apply a bit of pressure so they don't bend too far back and break. Once you have those three clips disengaged use a thin flat blade in the two horizontal slots on the side of the lever arm starting at the one closest to the top of the socket. The sidewalls on this side have a bit more material due to the protrusions on them compared to the opposite side where the material is thinner. Gently push outwards while supporting the sidewall with a finger so it doesn't bend too much and crack. If done properly you should feel the clips disengage. Repeat for the lower side. Once the top and that side are disengaged you should be able to then lift the disengaged side up and outwards towards the opposite side which will disengage the the clips on that side without you having to pray at them. With the top and the lever arm side disengaged you just need to move the top cover towards the other side and the clips will disengage by themselves. Once you have the top cover off successfully you can just gently attach it back to your motherboard socket. Have the lever arm in it's upwards position when doing so. Use the top 3 clips to locate it in place then gently push down on the sides and top to seat it when you have it aligned. It is a fidgety process but if you take your time it can be done. Consider ordering two as you may fail at the first attempt. The material could be stronger but this is how Foxconn makes them.

The top sliding piece that locks the cpu pins into place cracked when I tried to remove my cooler. I ordered this new bracket and was able to separated the top piece from the base without breaking it.
