The wire stripper worked, different to another popular brand that I tried first. Also the crimper was much easier to use probably because it moved in a single plane rather than in an arc. Also first rate. Another crimper I tried was very hard to use with 6mm cables. This one worked first time.

Well made tool with reasonable price. The connector holder is not usable, though.

These crimpers are very good. For a crimping tool it's all about the leverage of the handle and the quality of the dies making the crimp. The tool is well built, sturdy and functions with ease. When closing and opening the tool there are no grinding spots or parts rubbing. The portion where the dies are mounted are even, providing the dies to make good parallel contact. The dies themselves are well ground with clear edges, not rounded or poorly machined. The engagement is even and there are no visible gaps when the dies are mated together. In my opinion these crimpers will last for years of daily service. I had a question for IWISS and they responded promptly with a clear answer. So I give their customer service a plus. As to the last category in the review called "Weatherproof" I gave them a 5 just because that category makes no sense with this product and I did not want to reduce the overall rating. These are as weatherproof as any hand tool. If you use them out in the rain or while you are submerged, they will get wet. Being made of metal, they will corrode if not taken care of. Under normal usage a light oiling of the moving parts (with a light machine oil) will be fine every so often. Will I need to buy these again? I don't need a second set so this crimping tool frame will last for many years. The dies may wear but since the metal of the connectors are softer, I doubt it. I certainly do recommend these. Cheers.
