Dust Collection System: 1.6-HP Dust Collector Media Reclaimer with 1.8 Gallon Capacity - Universal Fit for Sandblaster Cabinets and Media Blasters

I almost didn't buy this dust collector because of all the conflicting reviews but I'm glad I did. Shipping was a few days faster than advertised which was nice. I mounted this dust collector on a Harbor Freight blast cabinet. The existing hole in the cabinet was an exact fit for the dust collector. I only needed to drill four holes in the cabinet to get it 100% mounted. I think I only spent 10 minutes getting it installed and I was up and running. It works perfectly. I only have a few hours on it so far but it works great. I was using a 5hp Shop Vac for two years and this works better by far. It is easier to reclaim blast material out of the dust collector. A Shop Vac is about the same price as this dust collector. Other reviewers complain about noise. It is loud but not unusually loud for a vacuum/ dust collector used in industry. My 5hp Shop Vac was just as loud as is every other Shop Vac I ever used of that size. I always used hearing protection before and I do need to now with this dust collector. It is loud but that is how this type of equipment is. I sand blast as part of my business and do it many times a week hours at a time. I don't have an issue with this unit. We'll see how long it lasts. I'm happy with it. Contrary to other reviewers I think installation was fast and simple, noise level is typical, and performance for the size and price point is in line with what you get.

Great product well made for the price. Some reviews have complained about having to drill, they are wrong. If you use a tapered punch you can pierce the foam tape and align the holes. The directions leave some steps out but if you follow the general steps, and tighten the nuts after assembling all the screws it's great. I spent 3 hours assembling but I have OCD

This product is great. It works as advertised. The assembly instructions are a little sketchy and they seem to have modified the design since they wrote them. I did not have any trouble with holes lining up as some people had. There was not any dust leaking from anywhere. I did rig a shop vac filter to the hole in the back which I assume the dust collector that they sell is installed. I would give it 5 stars except for the assembly instructions. I'm including some pictures of my modifications if anyone is interested.

Zero thought design makes you wish you had just built your own. How loud is it? You will go deaf without hearing protection-that loud. So loud you won't want to turn it on. You shouldn't have to wear hearing protection to sandblast parts. Doesn't even mate up with their own 40gal cabinet so you end up with two extra pressure ports that serve no function. Terrible assembly process drilling a 2" hole in the side of thin sheet metal. It's huge. It functions but in my opinion stuff like this shouldn't even be allowed to be sold.

Came in with minor damage. a few bent corners, a little scratched paint, and NO instructions. Had to watch the video on the amazon page. Kinda like an IKEA blast cabinet. Lots of little screws. Majority of the holes in the panels were too small for the screws provided so had to drill most of them out a couple sizes larger. BUT, it works, which I guess is the most important part. I just connected a shop vac to the vent which did help with visibility while blasting. It DOES leak some blast media even after sealing off all seams with silicone, but not enough to be an issue. Does NOT come with enough hardware to complete assembly, will require a trip to the hardware store to complete. Decent buy for blasting smaller parts. No real complaints.

Very nice blasting cabinet. Instructions were adequate and all the parts were included - no missing fasteners! A couple of the corners were bent from package getting dropped during shipping, but they were easily straightened out with pliers. Surprisingly, all the fastener holes aligned up properly; no issues with assembly. Speaking of assembly, although it could be done by one person, it is exponentially easier with two sets of hands. After first use of about an hour, there is a small bit of media (soda) escaping - should be easily corrected with a little bit of the sealant that was included in the package - otherwise, the factory applied foam sealing tape is doing a great job. I purchased the Vevor dust collector and installed it and it works great to keep the viewing area clear so that you can see what you are doing. I used some scrap lumber and built a rolling platform under the unit using nice casters from here and it makes it easy to roll around to store out of the way when not in use, plus increasing the height about 4-5" makes for a better angle for doing the work with your arms in the gloves - at least that's my opinion for someone that's 5'6" tall.

I’ve been really happy with this 60-gallon sandblasting cabinet. The cabinet itself is solid, the size is great for most parts, and the viewing window and lighting make it easy to see what you’re doing while blasting. For the price, it’s honestly a really good value and works well for cleaning rust, paint, and small automotive parts. The only thing I would recommend is upgrading the hoses. The ones that come with it are pretty stiff and tend to kink, which can affect media flow. Once I swapped them out for better hoses, the cabinet worked even smoother. Other than that small upgrade, it’s a great setup and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. If you’re looking for an affordable sandblasting cabinet for a home shop or garage, this is a solid choice.

Had to modify my powerfist cabinet but it worked super well. Needs to have the filters shaken and cleaned (not replaced, just smacked a little) every 1-2 hours of blasting. Creates negative pressure which is great for dust collection

Für meine Vevor 40 Gallonen Kabine ist es in der ursprünglichen Leistung überdimensioniert. Mit einer entsprechenden Spannungsangleichung funktioniert es bestens. Es herrscht somit der ideale Unterdruck zum Absaugen des Nebels in der Kabine und sorgt somit auch für eine freie Sicht im Innenraum. Nach einer sorgfältigen Kontrolle vorab, der perfekten Platzierung des Filters und der Dichtung, hält dieses Absauggerät ALLES im Behälter und bläst es nicht raus. Der Behälter sollte zwischendurch geleert und der Filter ausgeblasen werden. Die Lautstärke hält sich in Grenzen und verringert sich mit der Drehzahlanpassung. Für mich die perfekte Ergänzung. Erst recht für größere Kabinen.

Producto de malisima calidad. Golpes por mal embalaje , instrucciones pesimas,los guantes no son del diametro de su alojamiento. Producto chino de muy muy mala calidad. No se gasten el dinero en esta basura.
