USB-C dock has FOUR 5 Gbps Data ports, ONE 100-Watt PD port, HDMI, and GIGABIT Ethernet for $34.99!
AMAZON VINE REVIEW of the RREAKA USB-C Docking Station Modern docking stations are the "Swiss army knives" of tech gadgets. These useful tools enhance, extend, replicate, or add capabilities to your laptop, tablet, game deck, or VR system and they do it ALL in a small footprint through ONE powered connection. They are a marvel of engineering, space utilization, heat dissipation, and "active" circuits. Modern laptops and gaming systems are small, fast, powerful, and fully featured, but the one thing they are NOT is well-supplied with ports. Since the introduction of the USB-C connector, newer equipment is using it to the exclusion of all that came before. This makes sense, at least in terms of going FORWARD, but backward-compatibility is not just helpful. For MANY users, it is ESSENTIAL that their prior equipment be readable, writeable, and accessible by all of their recent technology. Consider JUST the number of USB Type A flash drives in use by BIG (Business, Industry, and Government) and the numbers are staggering. Now consider EVERY person in school ANYWHERE who has their work on flash drives that CAN NOT be accessed by USB-C ports. Enter the modern port-specific "docking station." ONE exemplar of that ideal is this RREAKA USB-C Docking Station. This ALL-ALUMINUM, beautifully machined device offers: 4K@60HZ HDMI Video Two USB Type A 3.0 ports compatible back to USB A 1.1 - Transmission Speed: 5Gbps One USB-C Data port. - Transmission Speed: 5 Gbps One USB-C 100-Watt Power Delivery (PD) Port and An RJ45 Ethernet LAN port for standalone access to Gigabit (1000 Mbps) cable speeds. And a SINGLE USB-C connector with a 90-degree configuration for ease of connecting to low devices like laptops and gamepads or stacked systems in server room cabinets. ALL of this is contained in a device that is 5.25 inches by 2.50 inches and weighs LESS than a pound. This dock costs $33.99 today (April 2024) at AMAZON and by plugging it into my ASUS 17โ RoG Strix laptop I more than DOUBLED my capacity to accomplish tasks on my $3200.00 laptop. THAT is VALUE for MONEY by any measure. In the accompanying pictures I purposely maxed out BOTH the laptop and the dock to find where the system bottleneck would beโฆexcept there was NO bottleneck. Other than the dock and the laptop getting warm, the two machines were reading and writing THREE USB 3.0 flash drives, moving 26 GB of RAW photo files from a CF Express Type B disk to an archive on a sequestered external hard drive and moving network data requests to our P2055DN printer. And the 100-watt power delivery (PD) port is charging my cell phone to round out ALL the ports being in use simultaneously. Please note that the laptop is using the Gigabit Ethernet from the dock's RJ45 port, too. (See Attached Pictures) This all-aluminum dock is a winner. It DID everything I asked of it, reaching a point of almost exceeding the speed of the archive hard drive (an 18 TB SEAGATE EXOS NAS). The log shows seconds where the NAS was using the CACHE(!) to keep up with the movement of files from the reader attached to the dock. It is an impressive device, useful for ANYONE with too few or too slow ports on your primary laptop, game system, tablet, VR rig, or driving and flying sims. ALL could benefit from these extra full-speed ports AND Gigabit Ethernet potential. This dock EARNS ALL FIVE STARS! Five Stars for All-Metal construction, SIX useful ports, 90-degree USB-C connector, and small footprint. This moves to my Tech Bag TODAY! Mark in North Carolina

Possibly received a defective model, or future red flags?
I currently own the steam deck, and I mainly use this stock for displaying my steam deck on a separate monitor while I work. I work from home, and from time to time work can get a little dead as we reach the mid to late days of the week. I purchased the steam deck last year as a source of entertainment during this time where there is no work to be done yet, but I also needed a dongle or dock in this case to have it displayed on separate monitor. UPDATE: After continued use of this product I have now upgraded my review to reflect, you definitely get what you pay for with this. This product may be defective, but I am unsure. After continue to use I noticed some of you issues I wanted to point out, for one while using the HDMI port with this dock I'm getting some fizzy-like issues on the display. These fizzes eventually turn the entire display blank for a few seconds, then the picture returns while still fizzing. There was a time yesterday where I just kept unplugging it and eventually the fizzing stopped, but it kept turning my display blank at times occasionally still. The issue returned again today and I was fed up trying to get it to work so I just reverted to a previous dongle. I also did notice heavy audio interference when plugging it into my projector, but this was while having the usb-c charger inserted into the dock to charge my steam deck. The audio started distorting pretty badly, but when I use the dock elsewhere on another TV the distortion doesn't happen. I'm sad that this product had to end this way, it looked so promising and had so much potential to be great. I would just hope that this is a defective model that I received, and not the overwhelming experience of what this product represents.

Works Great
It just works. Hdmi to monitor works automatically. Barely had to mess with the settings. Three usb ports, can now play multiplayer games with my old usb wired and wireless controllers. Usb wireless mouse keyboard works. Usb c for charger charges the deck while I dock it to play on the monitor. The only thing I havenโt tried is the Ethernet connection. So far the only problem I came across was some kind of button press or clicking sound after docking the SteamDeck. This only happen once and it went away after I disconnected and reconnected the deck. There was one time where the monitor didnโt automatically connect, and again all I had to do was reconnect the deck. Also the usb controller wasnโt detected one time. Again it was a connection issue and all I had to do was disconnect and reconnect. These arenโt things that constantly happen. Overall, this dock works great. Well worth it.

Works great with Steam Deck
I have a Batocera retro arcade and console emulation setup that I my Steam Deck for. This dock works great and makes my setup look more organized. I was able to connect my Qanba Q8 arcade stick to the USB-A port and had no issues with getting power for the RGB button lights. My Steam Deck immediately detected my arcade stick as soon as I plugged it in. With two USB-A ports, I'm also able to connect my USB keyboard for when I need to go into Desktop mode. I take extreme care of my electronic devices and am always worried about scratching up the screen and body. I like that this dock has some rubber linings where you place the Steam Deck to prevent scratches and prevent it from sliding around.

Solid built, plenty of ports
If you need a dock that allows you to charge, store, and gain access to more ports- this will check all the boxes. Materials do not feel cheap so it feels like a solid unit. charging cable already has 90 degree connector for easier/more ergonomic connection while charging the steam deck. Dock has no issues charging with fast charging cables and blocks as well, so no compatibility issues. All ports work fine without interruption as well. There is a little space for seating so the console by itself or with a slim case should fit fine. With a bulkier case with built in kickstands? Might be snuck or unable to fit, so please keep that in mind. Otherwise, good dock.

Works as intended!
Finally got around to hooking this up, and it works exactly as intended. Sees the Steam deck, talks to the TV - does exactly what it's supposed to. No complaints!

Works as advertised, the extra Type-C port is VERY useful .
This dock caught my eye because it not only has a few Type-A ports, but it also has a 5GB/s Type C port which can really come in handy. I used it to plug in a NVMe enclosure and transfer the games from my old Steam Deck to my new one and it worked pretty well. I did not get as fast of speeds as I expected but that may have been some other limitation, I would have to do some more testing to find out. Definitely way faster than regular USB-A or micro-SD though.

Good Dock for the Deck
This Steam Deck dock worked quite well for my unit. It has a solid construction, so I am confident it can stand up to inadvertent drops and packing pressure, on top of normal wear and tear. Charging worked well, once I got a sufficient brick for it. The test on the HDMI hookup to my TV and the addition of an external PS3 controller all worked well, with no issues. Nice little dock for anyone in the market.

Doesnโt fit the ROG ALLY X
works as described, unfortunately the ally x is too thick to sit in the indent.

The Cable Is Very Short
I had to return this because the cable to connect it to your device was too small to reach either the top or bottom USB ports on my Legion Go, without the device sitting at a weird angle, as in down on one side, up on the other. Apart than that, it seems well made.
