Descaling Kit for RO100ROPOT System

Easy to use .... We went beyond time before We Might Have Had to Purchase new machine. "Luckily" we patiently worked through 'healing' the machine.Since that MISTAKE ,,, we dutifully watch the markers ... and having NO PROBLEMS.As I said "Easy to Use" .... and we Love the water ... so do our plants and our dogs.

My RO POT was looking a little ragged. I used the descaling kit and the cleaning kit according to the directions and the tank and carafe look like new. Word of advice - I took the top off of the pot and each time I pushed the button, it came on for a second and turned off. I tried about 20 times until the wife imitated Billy Bob in Sling Blade and said 'it ain't got no gas.' I put the top back on the carafe and the kits worked perfectly.

It's hard in this scenario to really know what is done but my RO machine was starting to take a bit longer to fill and somehow found this kit which I wish they would tell people more or point to it more somehow when they buy the system. I do have hard water where I live and it does affect a lot of things And that's part of why I got this RO system. So it's really nice to know that you can de-scale. I also ended up buying the cleansing tablets to use afterwards and just do both cleanings at once. You only need to buy the little plugs where the filters go with one kit or the other as they are reusable. I always do one extra flush more than what they say just in case. The water does taste a bit better I was noticing it didn't quite taste as fresh as normal so everything's really good again! One thing in the instruction (and the cleansing tablets don't come with any) but there's a video for both on YouTube or you can scan one for the D scaler on the pamphlet that comes with it. When you take your filters out you're putting plugs in essentially because you don't want to run these chemicals through your filter. That's why I thought I would do both descaling and cleansing because it's a process taking out all of your filters and replacing them with the plug and then doing all of the flushing. I wouldn't want to take the time to do it separately so I bought plenty of each. It says in the descaling to let it run about five minutes then stop it let it sit for a half an hour and then run the rest of it again. But with the plugs in and no filters to go through it fills up in about a minute and a half so that part of the direction is not correct. I'll probably do this every few months. If you don't have a whole house water softening system or live somewhere with soft water and you wanna keep this machine going strong you should invest in at least the descaling. With the plugs in with no filters the "bad" particle numbers were super high! I took a picture which I will include so you can see how much difference this RO system makes from your drinking water. And the outflow was 99 until it was flushed a couple of times after the cleaning tablet. Then instead of going to the usual 8 it went down to 5. It's important to make sure that it stays below 30 when you're going to drink it.

This system works in a short amount of time. Much better than using vinegar and water or expensive de-scaling solutions.
