used it to cut turkey in half. worked well

Excellent butcher's saw. We got this to saw up bones for our dogs. There was a time when we used to buy small marrow bones for our small dogs but no more. Now, the only small marrow bones we could find were at the pet store and they were so expensive. I found larger marrow bones at the grocery store and this saw was perfect for cutting them up into sizes our smaller dogs can handle. It's a lot of work even with the saw though. We're very happy with this saw and recommend.

This product was terrible. I was using it to saw through bone on a lamb carcass and it was so dull and useless. It looked like someone chewed the lamb up by the time I got anything cut. Then it just flat out stopped cutting at all. I was terribly disappointed at I could not finish butchering the lamb and it cost me. I would never buy this item again!

Pretty good, but the blade tends to tilt and I am not sure why.

Got my saw in preparation for deer season. Had an opportunity to put it to use the other day, and found out I hated the saw. I don't know if it was designed this way or not, but it's not like any "normal" saw I am used to. Firstly, the wooden handle is not lined up straight with the saw - it's angled back to the left just a touch. This makes it awkward to pull and push, as your hand is not directly lined up behind the saw. Secondly, the blade seems to always want to ride at an angle - no matter how I try to tension it or adjust it to sit straight, it doesn't. This means that when the blade is biting and cutting, the entire saw frame is off to one side (not directly over the blade). All in all, these two problems make working with this saw a nightmare. Would have returned it, but the window was closed. I don't know if this saw is designed this way or if I got a lemon, but check yours out as soon as you get it to make sure it's not messed up - that way you can return it if you need to.

I bought it to cut the hock end off of country hams when I cook them. (It got to be too much of a chore to use a standard hack saw.) It fits the bill. Much easier that using the old hack saw.

Five stars because it arrived on time and was just what was expected. Its a very sharp blade and just right for cutting through bones easily.

Great item fulfilled my needs perfectly in cutting up whole lamb carcass. Goes through bone with ease and does not clog tynes on blade supplied

little concern over apparent slight twist on blade, but as not had one before don't know if this is normal. saw fulfils required function

Still was hard to cut frozen meat.

Saw has gone rusty after a couple of months- would not recommend.
