Love this curling iron! It heats up quickly and creates beautiful, long lasting curls. Very easy to use and works great on different hair types. The curls look natural and stay all day. Definitely a must-have for styling.

I adore my curling wand. It allows me to create the same look as a big barrel brush creates at the salon. But, I am not able to brush like my hair dresser. She has tried to teach me. This wand is perfect. It have a control for the heat. It's smooth and easy to manage for hair amateurs. I am able to style like a pro. It is well made, seems pretty durable and definitely high quality. I think it's well worth the price. My hair really responds well to it, and I look like I stepped out of a salon. Heats quickly. Easy and perfect. My hair glides through it easily. I have not had any problems with hair damage at all, no weird pulls or overheating.

Hot Tools is always the best hair curlers. Good quality, heat up fast, doesn’t burn hair off and the curles come out amazing. It also came fast the following day and the day before the event saving me time from going out to pick one up.

As I was setting my hair, my old Hot Tools curling iron literally “broke into pieces” with my first attempted curl. My initial reaction was laughter as I’d had it for many years and the flying, but not hot, pieces were pretty funny. I went off to my grandson’s 18th birthday party “uncurled,” but placed an order for a new one that same day. Hot Tools are quality products so I definitely wanted that brand. It arrived the following day, is almost exactly like the one that self-destructed and has a few improvements over my old one. I LOVE IT! I like the newer temperature control, it heats quickly, looks sleek and is easy to use since I’m familiar with the brand. I have never experienced hair damage and it cools down fast after use.

I’m a big fan of the Hot Tools Model 1102…but the OLDER version of this curling iron with the twist-knob temperature control, not this “newer” version with the push-button temperature control. My main problem with this newer model—and the reason I almost immediately stopped using it and went back to the older versions, and only pull this one out when my newer version is unavailable—is that the SWIVEL CORD IS USELESS. It doesn’t really swivel. That means that by my third curl, I’m trying to untangle the cord by holding the product upside down and letting it dangle, like we used to do back in the days of telephone cords—and all this does is slow me down in the morning when I’m trying to get ready, AND it adds to my stress/exasperation levels. Secondly, I do agree with the other low ratings that the wand seems to “catch” a little more on the hair than the older models do, though for me it’s still a darn good curling iron in that respect, because of the generous, non-heated tip at the end, which allows me to hold the wand at the end and control the “catch” without burning my fingers (this is the reason I switched to the Hot Tools 15 years ago—I was tired of burning my fingers on the wands of cheaper brands that didn’t have a large, non-heated tip)—so I do appreciate this aspect of this newer model. I also agree with the lower ratings that mention how the push-button control doesn’t seem user-friendly and is a bit confusing, though once I figured it out it seemed second-nature—but I will admit that there is NO second-guessing the turn-knob model. I gave it a one-star because I am trying to send a message to the company to DISCONTINUE ANY of the models that have this version’s issue with the swivel cord! Perhaps I simply bought the only swivel-cord lemon out there—but if this is a systemic problem with this version, I wanted the company, and the consumer, to know about it. Thank you! Other than this, it’s a great iron, in my opinion—that’s why I keep buying the older versions and I hope those remain available for a long time.

Great size. Heats up quickly. Curls hold well overall. However after the second use, the spring sticks a little when I open the curling iron, put my hair in, and then it won’t naturally close so I have to push the clamp closed by pushing it in the opposite direction to clamp tightly on my hair.

Very nice curling iron. Creates nice large curls if you have longer hair, short layered hair, would recommend 3/4' barrel to get more defined curls. Love the cord that swivels and not get twisted and heats up fast. This I would recommend.

Love this curling iron. The only brand I will ever buy! The gold plating helps protect my hair (I curl my hair every day), and the dual voltage means I do not need to carry heavy converters when I travel! The cord is also nice and long, and the swivel on it keeps it from tangling.

The product ceased functioning after three months of use, and I am currently navigating the return process. Unfortunately, this has been my most disappointing experience with after-sales service from Amazon to date.
