Worth the hype
I purchased this quite a few months ago and wasn't sure what or how I was going to use it. I finally got to it and went right in with acrylics and it's held up so well to the abuse I gave it LOL I don't usually use art journals this large but I love it!! I like it more than Strathmore tbh. Pricey but so worth the go. Binding is well done. No bleeding with acrylics anyway. Texture of the paper is as this type of paper should be. Acrylics float on it like a dream. Highly recommend!!

Great drawing book.
This drawing book was recommended to me by an artist & teacher. I like the size and the paper quality.

Excellent sketchbook
This is a beautiful book full of high quality, thick Fabriano paper- lots of it. I love the cover design and the ribbon place marker. The paper is thick and can hold up to wet media. I tried watercolor and ink. The paper rippled a bit when wet, but flattened mostly out once dry. I only doodled- I didn’t do a more elaborate watercolor. My ink drawing pens worked great- no bleed through. I layered my marks a lot and nothing ghosted through. Some old felt markers did feather a bit around the mark, but did not bleed through the paper. Nothing else feathered like that, so maybe it was the quality of those markers. I think I could collage and beat up this paper no problem. I love this sketchbook. I think I paid about $15-16. There’s a lot of paper (especially if you use backs of pages too), it thick and good quality, the place marker ribbon is a nice touch, the cover is lovely and symbolic. I’m a professional artist, and overall I’m really happy with this purchase!

Perfection!
I bought this sketchbook after I saw one of my favorite artists (Helen Wells) use and recommend it. It's 200 gsm paper, and so very versatile! I've used Sharpies, watercolor (with lots of water), alcohol markers, and colored pencils with absolutely no issue. It has a slight tooth, which makes it take water really nicely with minimal warping, especially if you clip the pages you're working on first. The 9"x12" size is really perfect, though I might be the anomaly there - I usually find smaller sketchbooks more intimidating to work with, and prefer larger sizes. I did buy the 6"x9" version of this book, but was disappointed to find that it did not lie flat like this one does. I have bought a few Venezia sketchbooks and definitely plan on buying more!

Gorgeous sketchbook
Expensive but I think it’s imported from the U.K. Don’t know why it’s described as beige. Great quality paper that takes marker pens, inks, acrylic pens and watercolour, gouache and acrylic paints well with no bleed through. I applied a wash of water to several pages and they kept shape well. Will definitely buy more of these and they’d make excellent gifts for artists. Bought this based on a recommendation from the artist Helen Wells who does great online colour sketchbook courses.

Best quality ever
I love the sketchbook so much! The quality of the paper is outstanding! The paper is thick and durable enough to handle multimedia and wet media. I won’t use any other sketchbook after this. This is my new favorite.

Works Well as an Artist Journal
I bought this for an art journal primarily to be for my colored pencils, but have found that the texture and tooth of the paper is a little too heavy to get a smooth blend without the use of Gamsol. Well, when I used Gamsol it of course leaked through to the other side. Next I tried markers and most of them worked well, however, the Copic and Sharpie markers bled through but that was expected Copic markers bleed through almost everything! Tombow Brush pens worked very well as did the Bic Conte Fine Point Felt Markers, Signo Uni ball white and gold pens, all gel pens I tried, and Sakura Brush pens. I have also been able to paint using watercolor and acrylics and the pages hold up pretty well with just a little curling. It has a ribbon bookmark but no elastic closure that some journals have. I have not tried gesso yet, but I was able to apply a thick layer of Dr PH Martin Bleed Proof White to correct some mistakes. Perhaps with gesso the Copic and Sharpie markers would be less likely to bleed. I have used several pens and graphite pencils to practice drawing and I am quite happy at this point. The journal is a little heavy and has lots of pages so it doesn't travel well but functions great as a home journal.

MY FAVORITE book for everything
This is one of my favorite sketchbooks. I love the Ingres laid paper with the slight texture. I love the size. I've used watercolor, watercolor pencils, ink, and Pentel brush pens on it. While the paper buckles with water-based media, it does not bleed through. You can use almost any pen on it without it bleeding through. The Palomino pencils feel awesome on this paper. The cover is not as durable as a hard bound book (it's a thicker paper). Putting a bunch of stickers on it has helped with the durability, but honestly, my sketchbook is a place to get messy, be imperfect, and try new things. I don't need it to be pristine. If you're looking for something that can take watercolors a little better and not buckle as much, I'd try their Venezia books (although I dislike the binding in them), or the Stallman & Bern books that are designed to handle wet media. The Holbein Multimedia books look cool, but I think they're not quite as good, in my opinion. Photos as follows: Writing: Koi watercolor brush pens Ladies: Liquitex ink & Pentel brush pen Pencil drawing: just a regular mechanical pencil. Palomino pencils work great, too.

I love the size of the book and how it lays flat so can be used for gigantic double-spread images. It's a mixed media type of paper, and works well for a couple of layers of water-based paint, too. This is not 100% cotton paper, and so it's not suitable if you want to use multiple layers/glazes or create watercolour effects that 100% cotton paper does best. Accept it for what it is, and you'll love it!

Bloc de grande qualité, très bien relié avec des pages cousues, papier épais et finement texturé permettant de nombreuses techniques sèches comme humides.

A brilliant sketchbook. This is my second one - the paper is typical of Fabriano, which is always of a high standard. Although the sheets are not thick I have even managed to use light watercolour washes in it as well as all other media - ink - I use fountain pens and they did not bleed through, faber castell pitt pens and tombows, all dry media... I love the soft cover, also the two colours of the pages...and over the yers the book has softly curled a bit with what is a great 'used' look... can say enough good about it!
