Is there any way if you can tell whether or not a sellers stock is covered by the warranty?

I submitted a warranty request (for a broken cleaning syringe) directly to Sawyer.com. They were really helpful initially, offering to ship a replacement out straightaway to any U.S location. However they didn't bother replying after i mentioned I'm in the U.K! 👎

how long does the filer last?

Indefinitely is you look after it by backwashing and sanitising properly. Oh and don’t let it freeze.

Is it worth spending the extra money instead of buying the mini?

As said by others: worth the extra 20 or so quid for the vastly improved flow rate & ease of back-flush, although both filter down to 0.1 microns - so obv won't filter chemicals or heavy metals (may also need to supplement the squeezable pouches provided as well....)

Would it be feasable to attach this to some form of a pump via threaded adapters?

You can get a connector to use it as a gravity filter. . . .
