**Q: what is the size of the opening?**
A: The opening is approximately 3-1/2" wide & the depth is 2".  Hope this helps.  Jeanette

**Q: Are they dishwasher safe?**
A: Greetings!  I just used them last night!  They will survive the dishwasher.  They are designed for the oven and can be placed under the broiler for French onion soup.  I prefer to wash them by hand as they have a lip which the dishwasher may not reach in its cleaning process.  I treat them as I would any ceramic dishware.  Good cooking!

**Q: how many ounces do they hold?**
A: If you fill one to the brim -- so the cover can still be put on it -- it'll hold 2 cups.

**Q: Does this say made in the USA on it?**
A: This bean pot has nothing on it that say's where it's made but I love using it for many different dishes.
