I have a 2008 Prius with 160k miles. The pistons tend to carbon up which causes an engine knock under load because carbon buildup increases the compression ratio. The Regain fuel additive seems to help. I recently did a top engine clean using the GM "AC Delco Top Engine Cleaner" and a modified cleaning procedure. The piston tops were 100% cleaned of carbon deposits and the engine knock under load was gone. **Q: I have a hyundai sonata which ran out of gas. i limped it to the station, but the hesitation did not go away with a full tank. will this product work?** A: Sometimes when you run out of gas there is dirt and junk on the bottom of the fuel tank and that would get sucked up into your fuel filter and partially clog it. You may want to look into changing your fuel filter first.
