Audio Cable for Subaru Outback Legacy 2015-2017 compatible with Harmon Sound System

It was necessary for the Android radio that I bought and it works as expected.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Didn’t work. The harness that is supposed to work with your factory amplifier just goes into a loop. Also the Stereo control wiring doesn’t even get used in this harness. Also the head unit speaker wiring is still set up as if you are using non amplifier factory system. You will need to spend the extra and by the Maestro kit. This was a waste of time and a pain.

White 8 pin wasn't plugged in - did this with some other settings and the unit is working great. Thanks Cheney!

I have a 2015 subaru legacy with harmon kardon and this is the only wiring harness I found that works with my after market radio head unit. I even got the SWC to work! You have to go to car settings in the head unit, input the pass code, and select your Canbus type and car make and model.

I purchased this because I wanted to connect a screen to use car play on my 2017 Subaru Outback. It was not the easiest thing to install . It’s a little overwhelming when you see all the wires. I am also not sure if I installed it correctly because the sound system dies not sound the same. It sounds bad when the volume is higher than 18. It is also to talk on the phone. The other person can barely hear me unless I talk right into the mic.

This was exactly as described and worked perfectly.

The backup camera connector on this harness does not match the connector on my outback’s harness. They do not fit together.

This harness does not always work. I have a 2018 Subaru Outback with the harman kardon system and a lot of features don't work with this harness. At least the seller tries to help but he responds once a day so not the best service.
