Bellicose: Volume 1 (Postal Marine Series)

The story is interesting but my read was spoiled by some truly dreadful subediting. The text is littered with "\pbreak" and similar markup. Worse, for me, there's a lot of homonym mistakes, suggesting that the book was transcribed with speech to text. Examples? "you're" instead of "your", "whither" instead of "wither". These errors completely break the flow for me, forcing me to work out exactly just what was intended.

Interesting take and I'd read more. But one problem - book 4 is available for pre-order, but WTH are books 2 & 3??!

Not bad.

I enjoyed the book. I found the behavior of many of the characters to be amusing. Some rather novel ideas were presented. I'd say there were at least three different story lines mixed in together which can get confusing. This was about people trying to deal with a world often beyond their control with things happening they didn't like and about how they manged to resolve things or didn't. If you were looking for porn this isn't it.

Interesting book enjoyed reading it. Main character was really confused for a long while but he finally shaped up into a hero.

Was a good general book to read,but found the story line to far fetched for me to believe in. The character seemed to go from inept to hero to fast and the rewards and lack of punishment for crimes unbelievable for a semi military organization .

The book had promise at the start but the failure to make the main character believable and likeable killed it for me. Don't get me wrong I was able to finish the book but to me it really fell short of another book I had read like this. I would tell anyone that asked me about this book to save your money and get poor mans fight. Same kind of story with just better characters and (spoiler alert) no slave master AI trying to take over the book.
