Pleased with this purchase
Just received this kit today and I’m pleasantly surprised. I read the lowest comments as well as the highest comments and took a chance with this set. In my opinion, there really isn’t anything to dislike. I purchased this set to keep in my camper and honestly, I will only need to include an oven mitt and a dish towel and I will have everything I need for my family of four. Of course the larger set includes a number of additional items but for my needs, this is perfect. Decent quality, nice size, great expandable roasting forks and a perfect size bag with compartments and elastic bands to keep everything all together. Now I don’t have to pull things from my kitchen supplies for our trips. Highly recommend!

Easy to use & travel with
Love how it’s all packaged together! It even has a little extra space to add a few more items. I added seasoning & a good knife.

Value for cost
This is a good starter and value for occasional campers. The specialty utensils (can opener, grater, whisk, and peeler) didn't hold up well. Our set was used every month for camping trips and those pieces were the first to be broken. Only took us two trips for the first casualty. The bag and collapsible skewers were our group's favorite parts. Overall, it is a good starter kit but just be aware that you may have to replace some things if you plan to use it a lot.

An Okay, Useable Set - But Perhaps Too Portable
This is a nice portable travel/camping set if you're sticking to preparing the basics. However, this set is a bit too portable (compact). For example: Though this spatula is an okay size for a burger, this set would have been better served with a longer fish-type spatula making it a much more versatile piece for not just burgers, but pancakes and fish. You'll be hard pressed to flip a pancake or side of fish with this one. The ladle/spoon is a bit small as well. To serve up a good heaping of chili will take a couple dips, and because it’s ladle shaped it makes stirring and getting along the sides of a pot difficult. And the cutting board... well [sigh] Let's just say the rest of the set is fine. The pieces are strong for their size and will get the basics done, and all the bits pack up nicely in their carrying case. As long as you keep in mind this is more of what I perceive as a semi-compact set and you don't plan on prepping and cooking any large items, it’ll work great.

Suitable for a camper or even a small apartment
This is a set of 9 utensils and a cutting board. You get a paring knife with cover, 6" chef's knife with cover, kitchen shears, tongs, silicone whisk, silicone slotted spatula, silicone ladle and a very long weird narrow metal toasting fork (maybe for marshmallows?) and similarly long metal serrated knife suitable for cutting something that's on a grill, and a plastic or silicone cutting board. These all fit nicely into slots in a large zippered bag that is roughly 13" x 9" x 2". For some reason it opens horizontally, so you'll need 26" inches of space. You won't have to struggle to fit the utensils, but that means the bag has a large footprint, so I can't see anyone going backpacking with it. But car camping or just a day at the park, sure. The bag has a handle and seems fairly sturdy. Regarding the quality of the tools, as you'd expect at this price point, everything feels a little flimsy but useable. The knives are sharp. By the feel/balance, they're not full tang. The cutting board is the one piece that is kind of terrible. It's incredibly flimsy. You're going to need firm ground or a table to use it. This kit does not include oven mitts or a knife sharpener. You will want the former to use the metal toasting fork and knife, I think. But overall, I think this is a good value. It would make a nice gift for someone who just got an RV.

The essentials and more!
I got this set for camping but I quickly realized it will be useful at other times. We just stayed at a beachside cottage with a mini kitchen and this set nicely supplemented the kitchen supplies they provided. The set gets you well equipped for just about all of your cooking needs. It comes in a practical carrying bag with elasticized straps and sleeves to keep all of your utensils in place and organized. You get a whisk, ladle, 2 peel carving set, spatula, 2 sheaves knives, kitchen shears and tongs. The knives are beautiful and sharp. The sheaves with the heart cutouts are a nice touch. The tongs are a smooth stainless steel and durable silicone and the locking mechanism works well and securely The ladle, whisk and spatula are made of the same quality silicone and clean well. We didn’t have any use for the carving set but it’s nice to have it on hand. This is an excellent set that would also make a great gift for someone starting out with a small kitchen with limited space or a gift for a college student that wants to cook for themselves sometimes. Highly recommend

Meh…..
Salt and Pepper shakers leak when shut, the can opener would NOT open a can (kept getting stuck going around the can), knives and cutting board were good. My fave was the small forked utensil for flipping bacon, steaks, hotdogs etc. At least I can use the bag for condensing my utensils and I will put my old can opener in there and keep the leaking salt/pepper shakers separate with my other spices.

Love it!
This is such a great set! We got it just to have for emergencies in our RV. You never know when you're going to break something on your camping trip while you're cooking. But if you do, this will definitely get you through! The cookware all seems to be very well made and the way everything fits in the bag is awesome. It takes up very little space, yet you get so many tools. This would be super easy for a backpacker to use and would take up very little space or add additional weight. My Star Rating Scale: 5 stars - Perfect, or as close to perfect as possible and would definitely recommend to anyone. 4 stars - Works well, but could see some minor changes that could make the product better. Would recommend to others. 3 stars - Functional, but areas of concern or major changes that could make the product better. Recommend researching other options. OR, neutral ranking, nothing really special or bad about the product. 2 stars - Barely functional, recommend researching other options. 1 star - Avoid at all costs!
