Absolutely love this smart blind!
The custom measurements were spot on and the fit is perfect. I ordered the 'coffee' color and it looks exactly like the photos, very clean and high-end. It blocks the light perfect. I installed it like 6 months months ago and it’s still working flawlessly, no issues with the motor or the hardware. I chose the Alexa-compatible motor because I have Alexa at home, and at first I thought something was wrong because it wouldn’t respond. It turns out you must have at least one remote to set everything up before Alexa control will work. I hadn’t ordered a remote, so I assumed the blind was defective and contacted customer service. They replied quickly, were very helpful, and we realized it was my mistake for not adding a remote to the order. Once I got the remote and did the initial setup, everything made sense. Honestly, the remote is so convenient that I just use that now instead of Alexa. If you’re ordering the Alexa motor, make sure you also order at least one remote from the beginning so you don’t run into the same confusion I did. Overall, I’m really grateful everything turned out so well. A professional blind company would have charged me a lot more for product and installation, but I was able to install this myself without any problems. Highly recommend!!

Smart Roller Shade
Pros: For reference my shade is approx. 74” wide, In blackout with the weighted (grey) bottom. I also splurged on a solar charging option as this window gets the maximum amount of sunlight. I also got the 15 channel remote. The shade is of great quality. You can immediately tell after removing from the packaging. The size and accuracy of measurements are perfect. Especially when you follow the instructions they give you prior to purchasing. Heat and light blockage are superb, note I choose to have the shade roll mounted outside the window versus inside. Also, I had the roll come down on the backside versus the front for maximum light blocking. Cons: The brackets that attach to the valance are not super strong individually. Due to my shade being so large. I misjudged it being secure on one end and it came down partially, completely bending one bracket. They do however give multiple brackets and you only need two for one of this size. I would highly recommend a second persons help for larger shades. The remote set up is a bit challenging and requires a small learning curve. I did not get Alexa or other home assist on mine so programming the remote is going to take some time. The Greywinds app is also an option, but I would not rely on it, as there are some bugs in the software that still need tuning. This is a pricier option. However, when compared to cheaper ones that require cutting, install time, and labor I would go this route again. It’s more convenient and looks professionally installed. Recommendations: when measuring for length of the shade do 6” or 7” longer than what you need. You can program a limit stop for both up and down when using the app or remote, so extra won’t hurt. Shipped using DHL and they required a signature for receipt. be advised. It also takes a few weeks for them to make the shade and ship it.

Very happy with these!
The price increases quickly as you add your measurements, which made me pause, but happy I pulled the trigger. I got two of them, one with a left charger and one with right, sized for outer install, so custom sized. The packaging looked like it was made specifically for my order - even the box size. I was kind of surprised by that. The install couldn't have been easier. The remote was already programmed for both of them. The only thing I had to do was program the top and bottom stop points, which took me a few minutes to get the hang of, but once I actually read the manual, it was easy. Both were easily discovered by Alexa. Two points to keep in mind. You need somewhat newer echo devices (2nd gen echo plus, 4th gen echo dot, etc.). These do not use wifi that use account pairing like some other devices (switches, lights, etc.). These are directly discovered by Echo using zigbee, which in the end is a lot easier, but you need the echo device or a hub. The other point is that although you can set a "favorite" position, using the remote, you can only tell each one individually to go to that position - not both/all at the same time, like you can with full up or full down. I was easily able to work around that with Alexa, which allows you tell them to go to any percentage position you want. Since my "favorite" was 50%, I was able to create a routine that did what I wanted. Also, there's no outlet plug with the USB charging cord. I had several floating around the house, so that wasn't a big deal, but I was surprised that the charging cord was just the USB cord - the magnetic USB-C end was a nice touch, though. All in all, I'm very happy with these and would recommend this company to anyone looking for these types of shades.

good quality
good quality but I could not get it to pair with any of my echo dots to be used with Alexa. solar panel charger cord to short to reach plug in shade. had to order short extension. works great with remote but I wanted to use the Alexa app.

Automated affordable blinds
I wanted some new blinds for our bedroom with blackout material to let us sleep in on weekends, but automatically wake us up in the morning with sunlight during the work week. The material does a great job of blocking out light, but the sun rises facing the bedroom so there is a good deal of light bleed around the sides. If I were to order again, I would have gone about 1.5" wider (outside mount) so that the edges would extend further and reduce some of the light bleed. These have about .5" gap on each side, which I knew about when I ordered but thought it would look funny if the valence were wider than my windows. I have these integrated with Home Assistant using Zigbee and there are some quirks to work around. The biggest issue is the up/down arrows in HA don't always reflect the current status of the blind, so it will think the blind is lowered when it isn't (or vice versa). Fortunately, the blinds will do what they are supposed to if you send them an open/close command directly (I created a scene to open/close both blinds at same time, and call that from automations and as a button on main screen). The only major issue I had was on arrival the endpoints were set incorrectly from the factory. When I hit the close button the motor tried to pull the shade inside the valance and pinned itself against the mount, which stretched the thin fabric out a bit at the bottom. Luckily I had the remote in hand and quickly hit the stop button. If you are reading this and are about to order these blinds, I highly suggest you set the endpoints before trying to close or open them. Luckily Graywind support responded quickly to my issue, sent me the info needed to reset the blinds and create the new endpoints. I will say the programming process on these blinds is really fiddly, and requires precise timing and following an exact sequence which took me more attempts than I want to admit, and requires the remote (and a hidden button under the back cover). I would recommend these, I know there are other more well known brands but they cost 2x-3x more and probably arent any better. The Zigbee was the biggest reason I purchased these, because I prefer to be fully in control of my home automation devices. Wifi connected devices are subject to the whim of whatever company you buy them from, and if they decide its not profitable to continue supporting something the device becomes useless.

Great value and works well - true blackout
I purchased this for my master bedroom 8' slider. I originally ordered black, but they messaged me and said the fabric was not suitable at the size I wanted, so they asked me if I preferred a different color. I switched to grey and they rebuilt it before it even left the factory and I still received it on time! Installation: The blind is easy to install, I did it by myself on an 8' slider. It is not heavy, but is a little bulky and it can be tricky to get it to clip in with one person, so two is recommended for a big opening. I highly recommend you buy the extension brackets for an extra couple of bucks as it lets you fine-tune exactly how close to your window the shade comes down. I found that with the standard brackets, it would get hung up on the edge of the window casement, so the extenders let me dial this in perfectly. I was also later able to adjust the top and bottom stop positions using the remote so the blind never goes above the casement anyway, but I'm still glad the blind isn't rubbing against the casement as it would have worn out the blind and the paint. Looks: The blind is simple and looks great. The valence makes it look quite clean. The antenna hangs down a bit on the side but you barely notice. Light blocking: As you can see in the photos, the material blocks ALL the light. You can set the stop position to go all the way to the floor, but I deliberately set it a bit higher. In retrospect, I would have bought the blind to be about 6" wider on each side so there would be less light leakage, but honestly, the room is still DARK. It's just a band around the edge and the extra expense is probably not worth it. Remote: The remote is a little wonky, you'll have to read the directions and keep them for future reference. There is a mount with tape to stick it to the wall and it stays in there with magnets, but they're a bit weak so I could see it falling out pretty easily. You need to keep it pointed at the blind, it doesn't work if it is obscured. You have to read the directions carefully as the "P1" and "P2" buttons are actually in the battery compartment and you need them to set the top/bottom positions, clock, timer, etc. It's easy to get confused, but the directions are clear if you read them carefully (I didn't the first time). It says you can open the battery cover with a pen, but I couldn't, so I used the metal file on a pair of nail clippers. Alexa integration: Did not try the Alexa integration. Overall, a big win as far as I'm concerned. I will try out the Alexa integration or maybe the phone app at some point, but for now, the remote is good enough for me.

Very pleased!! So nice not to have to open and shut blinds manually...
Our old blinds were falling apart, and we'd been wanting motorized blinds at our house for about 2-3 years. Did a bit of research over that time, but never found anything we really liked enough to spend such a premium...I believe prices were usually around $500+ per blind most of the time. Fast forward, and we recently started seeing a handful more options that work with Alexa and other smart home setups. We wanted them to be Alexa controlled. We had considered the Ikea option, but read many reviews noting how difficult they were to pair. Same with some other options here on Amazon. Finally, we came across these blinds by Graywind. Most of the reviews were positive, no overwhelming amount of complaints on the smart home pairing (if any at all)...we decided to give them a try. Ordered the swatches first, found the color we liked, then placed an order for 4 blinds with Zigbee (we have Echo Show 2nd Gen that pairs direct, which is nice). The blinds arrived within specified timeline, plenty of extra hardware for install. Remote pre-programmed. Blinds sized correctly and well-packaged. Pretty much everything was a breeze! For install, the only note I would point out is this...we opted for an inside hung blind, and had limited space to mount the hardware. These are reasonably deep, maybe 4 inches (guessing), so keep that in mind if considering this. I ended up having to drill a separate hole in each of the mounting pieces farther towards the back to make it work for our windows, but it did work and wasn't a big deal in the end. I'm not a handyman, just your everyday mid-30s-Dad-of-3 that routinely fixes a minimum of 10 things daily...I handled this one in my sleep :) All in all, we love our new blinds! It's great to be able to just ask Alexa to open/close the blinds when we want. I would certainly recommend these.

Steer clear if you want automation.
A couple things first: the good news: the blinds are very nice and extremely quiet. Second: customer service, through emails, were very attentive. Third: the blinds are very easy to install. The bad news: try automating them… I ordered 2 blinds and got 2 of the programmable remotes. I programmed an open and close schedule (one event each) on both blinds. To do this you need to set up the date and time on the remote first. These remotes have a KNOWN problem of randomly reseting the day and time to Monday midnight. So, any schedule you program is now following the new day and time of the remote. Remote #1 reset itself so I programmed remote #2 for both blinds… Remote #2 reset itself so I emailed customer service and got another remote, we will call it Remote #3. I programmed open/shut schedule for both blinds on new remote and 2 days later it reset it’s day and time to Monday midnight. So, none of the remotes can have batteries installed because changing/deleting the programming is hit and miss. Customer service next sent me the Bluetooth hub to program the blinds using their app, which has a 2.2 rating… no thanks. Plus it lists all the personal info it collects… NO THANKS. I need a remote to control the blinds manually. So, I put the battery back into remote 1 thinking that I could change the schedule to blind #3 (does not exist) and it could do what the heck ever it wants to non-existent blinds #3 and I could manually control the real blinds #1 and 2. Got a surprise… I guess if you leave the battery out long enough it slicks any programming you had set up. Huh? Go figure. There is a little clock face on the display telling you that you have a schedule set up. No clock face in remotes 1 or 2 any longer. I am reluctantly OK with them not being automated. But customer service KNOWS of the clock/day problem of these remotes. This is blatant misrepresentation of their product.
