This worked very well for my yard. The population of coyotes in my neighborhood had increased a lot and 2-3 coyotes would visit my yard at a time during the day and night but 4 of these placed in strategic places worked very well to deter them along with putting some chicken wire around my fencing. At first they stopped during the nights but still visited the yard during the day but in the past week or two they have stopped completely. With some sun exposure during the day these devices work throughout the night.

I bought these out of desperation. I spray the plants with smelly deer repellent, but if it rains or I don't keep up with it, Bambi and crew are most pleased to eat everything in the space of a night or two. I have spent quite a bit of money on landscaping and I don't care to have it regarded as a free salad bar. So.....what to do? I had my doubts these blinkers would really work, but I thought nothing ventured, nothing learned. Well, I'll be damned. Since placing these in my yard 2 months ago every night, I haven't had one single thing eaten or even nibbled on. I followed the advice I read online and placed one in one specific area where all the hostas are and the other in another area where they like to eat things. The trick is to constantly rotate these around your yard, but always within eyesight of where the deer will potentially try to eat your plants. I have placed nails in various tree trunks around my yard about 4' high, so the blinkers are never in the same place too frequently. Another thing I do is take these into the garage and super charge them under a light that stays on all day. They hold a charge and blink for 11+ hours. I gave my parents a set and they have had the same wonderful results....not one hosta touched. And I'll say this. I went out into the yard on a dark night to see the full effect and the creep factor is excellent. I can see why the deer don't like these. They look like red eyes watching. The blinking makes them even creepier. I'd 110% recommend these. These are sooooo worth it and I can finally wake up each morning and enjoy my hostas.....with the leaves still on them!!! Hope I don't jinx myself by writing this reveiw!! Update...I didn't jinx myself and these kept right on blinking through one of the worst night time thunderstorms you can imagine. Update #2....I did not put these out one night because of a bad hurricane that came through. I figured the deer wouldn't be out in that kind of weather. Guess again...no blinkers out, so they ate several hostas. Sneaky, smart little buggers!

Doesn’t work. There is a nuisance cat that I’ve been trying to get rid of and really wanted this item to work. First night in use the cat fell asleep next to the “predator eye”. Clearly, this DOES NOT work! I will be returning it!

For months, day after day, I've been cleaning up after night visits by the neighborhood deer population. Finally, I decided to try the Predator Eye Pro. I got four units, placing them at the top of my 4' backyard fence - two on either side of the house, facing back, and two on the back fence, facing toward the house. For four nights, so far, I haven't seen a single drop of evidence of any deer passing through the yard. The product was delivered in one day, and they started flashing (after removing the protective plastic strip from the back) right out of the box, whenever direct light wasn't striking the solar panels. They charge during the day, and start flashing as soon as it gets dusky. Unfortunately, the deer returned in less than one week. I'm considering changing the placement of the lights. I had high hopes, but now I'll need to reserve judgment until further notice. After months of use, I would say that there has been a noticeable reduction in deer visitations. The product appears to be useful, if not perfect.

It is almost 2026 and this constant SUN BAKED, SNOW SLAMMED solar powered predator eye is STILL going strong. Its even cracked in places due to exposure - no matter. Incredible product. Buying more. Wow.

I purchased 4 of these in May! Set them up to protect my veggie garden from deer! They worked every night but since I also used sprays and stuff didn't think was just these that helped keep deer away till I moved them so the flash towards house to try and keep mice out, which I think did since right that 1st night the sounds of something to find/make a hole into house stopped BUT one veggie bed that I put flowers in is now just green stems! Every night deer were eating the flowers till all gone! I know night because I would check bed each night before dark! Going to order more for spring so won't need to move the others away! I recommend moving these every so often so deer don't get used to them!

I bought 4 because I needed to protect my chicken coop from preditors. One stopped working within a week; the other 3 are still working. They don't have motion detection that's why I didn't rate that part. At dark they just start blinking continuously until daylight. I will probably buy more for my garden to keep the rabbits and cats out. I was happy with them just disappointed that one doesn't work anymore.

I have a deck 18 feet above ground. In the summer my cats like to lounge or sleep on the deck. I mounted these on four posts to repel owls and hawks. I no longer hear the owls at night.

Had now for almost two years, still running, not missed a beat. Through all extremes of weather, freezing cold to down pours to heatwaves. The "eyes" pulse all through the dark hours, providing a deterrent. Simply every month or so, move them slightly around, to keep the animals guessing.
