That being the case, if you wish to go through a layer or two of denim, that will work pretty well. Better is to consider the eye of the needle and the difficulty of getting the needles through 4 layers or more of denim...this is a very difficult thing to do with shorter needles, so perhaps these would work fine: longer, better leverage, and thus more stitches successfully made. There is a larger, longer still, set of doll needles, available in a set of 5 different lengths, etc., however I think this set of two would suffice. When stitching into layers of jeans-weight denim, don't be afraid to get a pair of pliers involved to aid your grip. If you are going to stitch denim, also be sure you get a heavy duty thread, like heavier quilting thread, or even a smoother cord-like crochet cotton (size 10 or heavier) to match...there is of course the gold color out there somewhere too, but finding that would be another job.
