Lamiglas Classic Glass Downrigger and Trolling Rod

A little soft on big salmon but gets the job done. Great tip action, easy to tell when you have a bite. Nicely constructed and feel.

$ 170.00 Dollar Fishing Rod sent in a STANDARD CARDBOARD BOX ... I received my rod in a standard Cardboard box that was ABSOLUTELY CRUSHED ... LUCKILY I BUILD RODS SO I CAN REPAIR THE PROBLEM ... I have ordered NUMBERS OF RODS FROM SEVERAL MANUFACTURERS & THAY ALL CAME IN AN UNCRUSHABLE CARDBOARD " TUBE " ... THIS IS SLOPPY & UNFORGIVABLE !!!

This rod is absolutely perfect for downrigger kokanee trolling. Don't let the light action (4-10lb) fool you as there is plenty of backbone to this rod once you get past the whippy top section. The light action tip provides plenty of cushion for the soft mouth of the kokanee. I now have two of these and couldn't be happier. By the way, the Amazon price with Prime shipping can't be beat.

I just ordered one of these as a gift for a friend. The 9 foot heavy version (CG90DR)Lamiglas Classic Glass Downrigger and Trolling Rod. I've had one for three years and really like it for trolling for salmon. It works great using a diver or lead weight in a river and I recently used it on a downrigger in the ocean. It's perfect. It's designed to be put in a rod holder on a boat and left there until you need to pick it up so if you're looking for a rod to cast eggs, shrimp, a spinner or a bobber you might want something else but it's ideal for trolling.

I had Lamiglass rods before. They were great. This one was shipped in a flat card board package. No way to ensure the ferrules or rod are not broken. Even Ugly Stick or Okuma are better packaged.Returned immediately. No way to trust the rod in use.
