M-Audio M-Track Eight | 8-Channel High-Resolution USB 2.0 Audio Interface with Octane Preamp (24-bit/96 kHz)

It works perfect. I use a MacBook pro running Logic. I've run the eight channels simultaneously and have had no issues. It overloads my available memory sometimes but I think that has more to do with my older lap top than this interface. It does run a little hot but I knew that going into it and it doesn't bother me.

Every function is great. Very helpfull for home studios. I would definitely recommend it to anyone trying to get a professional recording system.

Bought this thing brand new and it didn't work at all. When I returned it, I never got my refund.

Needed a new USB interface for my DAW and have always been pleased with M-Audio's gear (I've got one of their MIDI's as my primary keyboard in the studio) so I figured I would try out this unit. Very pleased overall. Does it's job, audio remains crystal clear as if it never passed through a unit. I like that it has an eco friendly mode that conserves power, because having a lot of rack mount units hooked up starts to pull a lot of extra power, and every bit saved is worth it. The display is nice, well organised and easy to read. Only drawback is that the unit gets hot fast, not like fry an egg hot and no where near enough to impact performance or damage the components, but just enough to make if uncomfortable to put your hand on top of the unit for more that 15 seconds. Of course any good rack setup has a cooling fan, so just place it directly above or below the unit and you won't ever run into the heating issue. Overall, a great unit, and when I need to replace some of my others I'll definitely be getting a few more of these.

So nice I like it

I bought this to record vocals with studio one on a windows 8 computer and it works great. I have also tried it on my laptop which runs on windows 10 and it also works great. Never had an issue with the drivers as most people say. Finding and installing the drivers was easy as well. Knobs feel solid and smooth as you turn them. This big knob for your monitor playback volume is very nice design! LED lights are accurate and cool looking. I am only giving it 3 stars because the interface can get a bit warm, really wish they would have added vents on the sides or back to keep the interface cool. And I also couldn't figure out how to find the waves vst plugin bundle that comes with the interface packaged. It never gave instructions on how to claim them with the purchase. And I was bummed out because of it. The M Audio driver hasn't been updated either really wish they would even tho I haven't had any problems with the drivers it's still nice to have your drivers updated. But overall aside from the cons I was very surprised with the look and design of this thing and I think you will too!. Oh and the sound, Sound great!

The product itself is well built and quite capable especially with the added phantom power option. It does get hot so keep it in a ventilated. I play the drums and I bought this to record the covers I would do for songs. Unfortunately, my computer and the 2 others I have in my house don't recognize the system. The first was with a Windows Vista. The software download was fine but the computer would not recognize it. Second was with a Windows 7. Here the software had issues downloading and again the computer would not recognize it. At first I thought, the USB could be the issue, but even after going out and buying an new USB to try with, it again was not recognized by the computer. Lastly, with no hope, I went to my old Windows XP. And to my expectations, it again was not recognized. The reason for the 2 star is because the inputs and output ports do work and also do have great options but again, the lack of ability to receive computer signal (which is the prime reason I bought this product) renders it useless. I even tried contacting customer service through email but the guy on the other end never offered having the product inspected even after asking.

After searching for an interface to use for recording various instruments and vocals I stumbled upon the M-Audio M-Track Eight. I am pleased to say that I was extremely happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend this interface to anyone who wishes to start recording or even setting up a studio. Packaging & Build Quality: ★★★★★ After opening the box for the interface I was met by some very secure packaging. The interface itself was in a sort of bag, preventing the interface from gaining any scratches that it could possibly receive in transit. Holding the interface in place was some strong polystyrene which prevented the interface from budging at all. As for the build quality of the interface, the interface feels very sturdy. The casing of the interface feels very strong and all of the sockets and controls on the interface feel very well built and I feel that they will last for a long time without taking any damage, especially in a studio environment. Ease Of Use: ★★★★ The interface for the most part is very easy to use. It was easy to set it up and there was no issues with installing any of the drivers or software provided with the interface. The only problems I had came in the form of some noise heard when trying to record instruments. I was unable to figure out what this problem was for quite some time and I am still not 100% sure of the cause but the noise seems to have gone away and only re-appears when I set the gain high on the interface. This problem may have only been caused by this being my first time using the interface and I am sure anyone with experience in using similar interfaces will not find this problem. One other thing to note is that the user manual doesn't explain very well how to use the interface and whilst you could search on the internet for more in depth details, for anybody with no experience in using interfaces it may be tricky to set up and use. Sound Quality: ★★★★★ Although I had initial problems as stated above, the sound quality of this interface is amazing and I would definitely recommend it. I have only been able to use it at 44.1 KHz due to the specs of the computer I have used it with thus far but the interface supports up to 96KHz audio. The phantom power on the interface is especially useful for any condenser microphones and after using a condenser microphone with it I was extremely pleased at the sound quality. The quality of the sound can be further improved by the free plugins provided with the interface, they greatly improve the vocals I recorded and I am sure they could be used with various instruments to perfect their sound. Although I haven't used the copy of Cubase provided with the interface I am sure this will be very useful for anyone who currently doesn't have a preference in DAW or any DAW at all for that matter. Value For Money: ★★★★★ I would definitely say that I got value for money with this interface. after searching on various websites Amazon seemed to provide the best deal and it was much cheaper than most other interfaces of similar specifications. The addition of the Waves plugins greatly boosts the value for money as they are very useful plugins that will aid many people with fine tuning the sound of their recordings. ||Summary|| In conclusion I would definitely recommend this interface to anyone looking for an 8 track interface. I feel the problems I had may have been down to user error and as long as you know what you are doing then this interface will be perfect for recording. I would definitely give this a 5 star rating and I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Una tarjeta maravillosa. Tuve problemas con otra y ruidos estáticos, sin embargo con esta tarjeta lo tengo todo solucionado. 8 ins 8 outs, lo perfecto para trabajar con logic X y la mezcla y compresión externa. Desde luego una calidad increíble, tanto el sonido como el material! No me arrepiento para nada, aunque tengo que decir que el paquete llegó ya abierto, me parece que haya sido una devolución, el cable del adaptador (entre enchufe luz y el adaptador) no fue el original (no cabía bien en el adaptador y vino con enchufe americano). Lo cambié. El aparato mismo no tenía ninguna falta estética y funciona a la perfección, por lo tanto no lo devuelvo, pero aun así me parece una falta desde el vendedor de no avisar de eso.
