Mr Large In Charge: A Large family story from the creator of Five Minutes' Peace

Lovely book colourful and lots of pictures and a great story you can change up a bit to make it easier for the kids when reading.

My son loves elephants and loves this story. He found it rather funny. (He is 5) It's a lovely illustrated book. Daddy elephant takes over from mummy whilst she tries to stay in bed, so he is left with all the children. I bought this at a great price. But would of happily paid more

This one's got a clever story. Love all the large family books. Often a bit sexist and dated (Mr large being completely helpless around the house and Mrs large doing everything) but very whitty and entertaining for my toddlers. Highly recommended.

This 2017 paperback edition is larger than average in width too, measuring around 28 cm x 23.5 cm long. In this title, Mr Large is in charge and things get a little out of control! The story runs over 29 shiny finish pages, with Mrs Large on the first one looking a bit grey(!) as she attempts to summon up the enthusiasm to go downstairs. With a good vocabulary range, the text is clear throughout, ENHANCED at times FOR EFFECT! Granddaughter loves this series

My grand daughter loved this story , my grand daughters 3 and I read her stories all the time not just at bed time.

This is the best book series I have ever read to my grandson. It encompasses family life in a way that children can identify with. Excellent purchase.

What super books! This title was missing from the collection. A super read. Thank you Jill Murphy. I loved them as a child and my little one loves them just as much.

Nous sommes déjà des adeptes de Jill Murphy, mais ce livre est un complément idéal à notre petite collection. Cette fois, c'est le papa qui est sensé mener la petite troupe. Tout l'humour de Jill Murphy s'y retrouve. Et on ne cesse de penser... comme chez nous... La bande son est parfaite, avec les effets musicaux "éléphantesques".

My children grew-up with these "new" classic stories about the Large family. All three of my children are now pretty much grown, but we bought this storybook anyway and all read it, then we borrowed a younger child to read it to, who also just delighted in Jill Murphy's newest book. Buy and enjoy for many, many years of family fun and enjoyment.

When Dad is left in charge all things are different! Great story for all ages - one of those books the children love and adults find it a pleasure to read. Do read the whole series - my very most favourite is Five Minutes Peace it is the tale of every mother with small children!!
